RIP Derek Shepherd

So I was away for 5.5 weeks in April/May....so I missed all the season finales. I have spent this whole week catching up on TV, and am still behind. For the most part I stayed spoiler free, except for the death of Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy.  Although, I did not know any of the specifics, what episode number, or the plot of the episode. But I watched all the episodes, and I am still mad.

I am mad because of all the years we have spent caring about Derek and Meredith. I am mad because in my mind they should have been able to be happy forever. Meredith has lost SO many people over the years. (which they didn't reference at all, which I felt was a mistake. I did not think it had to be all about her Mother). I am mad because Patrick Dempsey decided to leave the show, and killing Derek was really the only way to do that. I'm not mad at him, its been 11 years. If they had ended the show a few years ago I could have had my happy ending for them, which Meredith really deserved after all her dark and twisty years.

I'm also sad. I'm sad to lose Derek. I'm sad for Meredith. My props to Ellen Pompeo. She was fantastic. I'm sad for Amelia. I'm sad that all the good characters/actors are leaving one by one and I don't like the new ones. (not including Amelia)
I hope they end Grey's Anatomy next season. Just so that we can wrap up and say goodbye to all the characters before it goes too far and we lose more good ones.
From the original cast we have Alex, Meredith, Bailey and Weber left now. I miss George, I miss Lexie and Sloan, I even miss Christina. I miss Addison and the rest of the PPP crew. This is not helped by having Amelia around. I love her (and Caterina Scorsone) so much, but I miss her friends from LA. I still love Arizona. I don't really care about Jackson, April, the new people (although Jo is growing on me), I don't even like Callie that much anymore. I have deal with Meredith's new sister, but please let this be the last one.

The had some great episodes this season. They have done good stories with the characters I still care about. I love the Alex stuff. While I don't like Hunt, I like Amelia having somebody. The plane crash ep was great, with Mere and Arizona trying to deal. The season finale was good. We got through the Derek stuff, I kinda like that Mere has a new baby. I liked the flashbacks, and the music from the early (good) years. I like that things ended in a good place for once. There is promise for next season. But I hope its the last.

I'm done. I've spent 11 years with these characters, and I'm ready to move on. But as long as the show keeps going, I will continue to watch, because I've already invested 11 years and I'm invested in these characters. Please let it go. Its time to move on, while its still decent and there is time to wrap it up properly. It will never be as good as the early years, its become too messy. For me Grey's went downhill after season 3, and only got back up to the good places a few times throughout the seasons since. I never in a million years expected it to go 11 seasons. Shows like Grey's just don't do that. ER had 15, but the cast changed over so much, because it was about the ER. Grey's at the end of the day is about Meredith.

Its time to let go.

Goodbye Private Practice Program

So its over, gone, done, finished for good and never coming back. While the finale didn't exactly leave me it tears, there were many almost moments, and it was a good episode.

After a season of character centric episodes, this one did feel a little rushed and in some ways I feel they didn't really get to give each one enough time in this finale. Perhaps if it had been a longer episode, I would have felt more satisfied. The ending with them all arguing over the title of Violet's book 'Private Practice' was cute, and the going out and down the elevator was a nice little ending.

Our Characters:

Charlotte and Cooper - I can't believe how much these two have grown since the start of the show. From Cooper being a little boy who met women from sex sites and blew his money, to being in a healthy relationship, to married....and Charlotte who was damaged and had limited social/relationship skills - and now is married...with Triplets. Their relationship is one of my all time faves. From the get go they were meant for each other, and I'm going to miss them.
-oh and Caroline is totally my fave triplet for being the ringleader!

Violet - I loved that she was writing another book. I love that she's in a good place. She's not ready for a new relationship, but that's okay because she's happy with her life, so someday she might get there.

Sheldon - I love that he finally got a girlfriend, even if she is dying. I don't love that he quit...but he's probably due for a sabbatical, so I think it was good that he was sitting on a beach with the woman he loved. I also loved that he stood up for himself, and made her listen.

Sam - I love that he went to New York to fight for Naomi...even before he found out about the baby. That was awesome.

Addison - I love how Addison has grown, we knew her for a few years before everyone else. She's grown so much. She found a new guy, got a baby, got married, and now has that life balance she's been looking for.

Amelia - see Amelia is the one I feel like her story is not over at all. Yes she got clean, she's started a new relationship that sounds like its going somewhere good...but its not at all wrapped up....and there was a serious shortage of Amelia scenes this season. I missed her. Hopefully we get to see her pop up on Grey's at some point...just so we can check in with her from time to time. I mean she IS family.

Jake - sorry Jake but I never loved you. I feel the stories with him and his daughter were not necessary, and that time should have been spent on Amelia.

Naomi - no more Fife, she's back in LA, married to Sam (YAY!!) and back at the Practice. I'm assuming she brought Betsey back with her.....

Things I LOVED:
-There were many call backs in this ep, I liked the style of the split screen thing they used to do in the earlier seasons. Also Naomi and her stress eating junkfood.
-I loved having Naomi back. I know she was never my fave, but I have missed her these past 2 years. Pity she didn't bring Betsey with her!
-I loved Amelia's line about Sheldon's girlfriend Miranda not filtering either. I loved seeing the classic Amelia attitude we saw in her early days.
-I loved the metaphor of Violet and her patient, being the show and the audience. Cause its going to be really hard to let go, to not have another episode coming up, or hear stories from the set. I'm sure I'll watch the dvds over and over.
-I loved Mr Mom Cooper finally getting what he always wanted, but 3 babies is a lot for 2 people to handle, let alone 1, I think they should have had a nanny as well anyways!

What I didn't like:
-I missed the kids. I would have liked to see Lucas - he's been MIA all season. I would have liked to see Henry too and a little more of Mason and the babies. Wouldn't it have been cool if Maya and Olivia and Betsey could have come too.
-I did like that Sam and Naomi were meant to be, but somehow it makes those early years feel a little like all that time they spent apart was a waste, when  they should have just been together. - Poor Maya -that's gotta be confusing.
-The fact that the ending was left open. I felt closure in some ways, but I don't understand how if the characters lives are still going on and evolving, why we can keep being part of those stories.
-I feel Charlotte and Coop needed another scene....I know there was stuff that was cut for time, but I didn't like the the last conversation between them was about needing a nanny...the bit in bed with the kids was cute, but I would have liked a little resolution. I guess they got the nanny, cause Coop was back at work...but still.
-The shortage of Amelia scenes.
-BIG unresolved plot point.....SHELDON'S CANCER?! Gone? Not gone? Did I miss it or was that never spoken of. I'm imagining that he's fine....I hope.

How things end in my mind.......

I always imagined maybe in a few years, Charlotte and Coop would move their family out east where one of them got a really great job, maybe Charlotte took over a new position as Chief of some other hospital.
Amelia and James maybe got married and did have their own kid....and maybe moved down south or something. But there's always those trips to Seattle to see Derek and save a life.
Violet continued writing and helping people, and still stayed close with Cooper - long distance of course, but they always call each other and watch American bake-off together.
Addison and Jake are happy saving the babies and raising little Henry.
Sheldon loses his girlfriend, and comes home after writing a book of his own. He opens his own little practice and helps some more people.
Sam and Naomi raise their brood, and continue their little practice with Jake and Addison.

Well that's that. I guess I am glad that the little show that could kept going after the writers strike of 2007, and became my fave tv show. I'm going to have to put my PPP energy into another show now. Hopefully one comes along soon.
Thank you to Shonda Rhimes for creating this wonderfully funny, sad, tear jerking show, and these crazy awesome characters.

Back in Action

Okay so I've been MIA for a long time, haven't posted anything since the Emmys back in October...since then the new season has been in full swing and is now on winter break till the new year.

Revolution has become one of my new fave shows. I'm oddly hooked to it. Maybe its cause I've watching LOST again(which I will talk about later). Or maybe because I'm just glad Elizabeth Mitchell being back on tv (without aliens). Anyways...I love it. Its not the best show in the world, but its very intruging and I find myself always wanting to watch it before Bones...sorry Bones, but you're not one of my faves.

Private Practice has gotten AWESOME. So since I last posted, the triplets have been born...well the 2nd two were about to be born in the mid season finale...I can't believe there is only three episodes left. EVER!!!! Its going to be really sad when its gone, because this season has been awesome. Season 5 was really the only time it wasn't great. I'm gonna miss those crazy bunch of people....I wish we could have a Charlotte, Cooper and Amelia spin off...
Grey's is still going for now, I hope that wraps up soon, even though its good, its not great and needs to end soon. ESPECIALLY since PPP is ending. The Arizona stuff has been great this season, and the new interns are actually not annoying! They are okay I mean, lets not get carried away, they are kinda boring and take time away from the good characters.

1 big change so far this season, is that I gave up on The New Girl. I just found that when I was watching it, I wasn't paying attention, so I stopped once I got back from overseas.
I keep saying I'm going to stop watching Revenge, but I keep watching it, might give up if I don't love it when it comes back on.

Once Upon a Time has been really good this season, as has Parenthood (except for that whole Ray Romano thing). The last ep before Christmas killed me. I was bawling like a baby. Mostly cause I wasn't sure if Kristina was going to die or not, and also because it brought back some personal bad memories from my childhood. Her video to the kids was a tearjerker!

Parks and Rec is awesome as usual. Ben and Leslie are getting married, and Ron Swanson is dating Xena....

Can't wait for Smash and Bunheads to come back. As well as the next season of The Newsroom if that ever comes back!

In the meantime, I've rewatched the entire Studio 60 again...and Parks and Rec season 3. Now I'm wrapping up season 5 of 30 Rock - which will also bow out soon. Then I'm moving onto Smash!

OD-ing on TV

More tv came back this week, most notably Private Practice, which I was not really looking forward to based on a crappy season last year. But season 6 started with a bang and found the funny, found the old character traits and found the quality!
So Pete was removed, at first making you think he's run away and is a douche...and then found to have died...(poor Tim Daly, not cool ABC)
The season premire was spent focusing on a day from each character's (or set of characters) point of view. It was well done and the annoyingness of last season seems to have been fixed.

Charlotte is back to her old self, interesting again....and pregnant...with triplets....crazy! Poor poor Charlotte, she wasn't into it with 1 baby, let alone 3...and all I can think is how funny its going to be to see that tiny woman super fat!
Addison chose Jake...which is good -I was SOOOOOOO over the stupidity of them not figuring out that Sam and Addison wasn't working.
Sheldon is hooking up with his ex - there is more going on there, but not sure what yet.
Amelia kept very low key, and wasn't around the group really.
Mason is so far less annoying...but we'll see what happens when Char and Coop go house hunting and bring on babyland!

The New Girl is back, still not my fave show, but I'll stick with it for now.

Also good tv this week -  SNL. I was worried that without Kristen, Andy, and Abby that it wouldn't be any good. But this week's ep with Joseph Gordon Levitt was actually pretty funny. Vanessa Bayer is rocking it.

Ep 2 of Revolution was also excellent. Its my new fave show! Elizabeth Mitchell's character was revealed to be not dead (like I believed all along, very predictable). She seemed to kind of being held hostage...not sure what's going on there...but a family reunion is going to be good, sans poor Ben.

Since I was sick all weekend and had 4 days off, I finished season 2 of In Plain Sight. I listened to 2 commentaries with Mary McCormack and Fred Weller - they were very funny!
Continueing my West Wing people tv theme, I started Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip...for the kazillionth time.

Its only the 3rd week of new tv, and I'm already starting to feel stressed out trying to fit everything in! Its too much! Just wait till I get back from the big trip in November...its going to be crazy trying to catch up!

Wishes for Next Season -PPP

So its been announced that Tim Daly won't be returning to Private Practice for season 6. Which I've gotta say sucks! Now its true that Pete has never been my fave character, but I still liked him. I liked Violet and Pete as a couple, and I liked Pete and Charlotte - he was pretty much the only one that was always nice to her. And its sad that Lucas is going to lose his dad! - Maybe Charlotte, Cooper, Violet and the boys should all move in together - that could be fun! hah!

Losing Pete will mean there are very few likeable men on that show. I'm on the fence with Cooper, and Sheldon and Sam have become boring, and often annoying.  I'm still not loving Benjamin Bratt's character Jake. I just can't connect to him. Maybe it was easier with all the other characters, because I didn't really know the actors. And I have never liked Ben.

I am glad that it seems to be decided that Private Practice will end with a short 13 episode 6th season. It at least will allow them to have some closure and wrap up the storylines. I really don't think it should try to carry on, especially if Kate Walsh leaves too. I mean I love Amy, Paul, KaDee and Caterina, but I don't think they can carry the whole show.

I'd like to see them ending the show with maybe someone moving away. Charlotte and Cooper would be a good choice, I could see Charlotte getting a chance to work somewhere on the east coast or even Cooper. I'd also like to see them have a baby.
I'd imagine Violet moving away too maybe, but I think her storyline will depend on what they do with Pete...
Addison might decide to take a break from medicine to raise Henry.

Amelia might head to Seattle to be close to her brother (now wouldn't that be awesome), or get a job at a fancy hospital (sorry Charlotte, St Ambrose is a terrible hospital).

Sheldon.....well maybe Sheldon and Violet could open up their own practice.

Sam...who knows with Sam, he'll probably still around. Or go to NY to be close to Maya (hey Sam, remember your daughter and granddaughter?!).

As for next season. I really hope they find the funny and wrap things up nicely. I hope that they don't waste the few episodes they have left, and get back to the quality that was the first 4 seasons. Season 5 was not up to scratch in my opinion, Amelia's storyline excluded.

Whatever happens, I'll miss Pete. I hate that all the original characters are leaving. I hope Audra comes back to guest star at some point this season, I can't believe it - but I REALLY miss Naomi!

Devastating Finales

Oh Shonda Rhimes what are you doing to me?! Poor Little Grey!

Grey's Anatomy's finale picked up where the last episode left off, with Meredith, Derek, Christina, Lexie, Mark and Arizona's plane crashing to the ground in the forest. Very LOST with the way Meredith woke up on the ground, but anyways...

I knew someone was going to die, and could rule out a few, but still I was not prepared! I mean excluding Alex and Callie the best people from Grey's were on the plane!!

So Arizona was screaming, Derek and Lexie were MIA, and the rest were ok, but injured. Christina and Meredith go off to find Derek and Lexie, only to find poor Lexie crushed by the tail of the plane, barely alive, but she lasts long enough for a tearful goodbye with Mark. -Seriously Shonda you're sooooo mean, but I guess we have to love you for it, cause its such good TV! Oh Meredith, your curse is starting to rival the Kennedy's! And so sad, she only had Lexie to get along with, she's not close with Thatcher, and they seem to have forgotten that other half sister!- maybe she'll turn up now! Who knows?
Then to make things worse, Mark almost dies, but luckily they are all resourceful doctors...and when he's close to giving up, Arizona is there to remind him that he has a daughter to live for...
Oh yeah, and back home in Seattle...the cases all parallel the injuries from the plane crash. And no one seems to notice they are MIA. Then Teddy gets fired so she can go do a new job.

Overall great finale. I was sad Teddy was leaving, but she's been a but boring this year. I'm crushed Lexie is gone, but it could have been worse as far as people I love!

I've got a few issues with Meredith and Christina leaving Arizona alone and pretty much ignoring her, but it wasn't like she was going far with that broken leg! Speaking of, wonder how she got into the plane by nightfall, maybe Meredith carried her.

Next season I'd like to see: If it is going to be the last season, I want them to wrap it up nicely...and give us closure.
I like to see April turn things around and become less annoying...assuming she's sticking around. And Jackson, I'd like him to be more interesting.
I'd like Meredith to be true to her career and talent and do great medical things...once she's out of the dark and twisty phase that Lexie's death might send her into.
I'd like Callie and Arizona to keep growing, maybe have another kid....
I'd like Alex to do something great, and become the good guy we know he is deep down inside.

Now Grey's may have been the saddest finale of the season, but Private Practice was also pretty sad. Poor Amelia and her baby with no brain. I liked the finale. In fact the last few eps of the season have been quite good, compared to the rest of the season, which has not been the greatest.
Charlotte and Coop are moving on and becoming comfortable in their new family dynamic. Though Mason calling Charlotte "momma", while sweet is kinda creepy. - though not as creepy as her watching him sleep.
Don't care about Addison, Sam and Jake. But I'd rather her with Jake, cause Sam needs to move on.
-I've also decided that Mason sleeps in the kitchen, as it's the only spare space in Coop's tiny apartment!!

Next season I'd love to see: Char and Coop get a proper house, and maybe think about having a baby.
- I'd love Violet and Pete to get over their crap and get back to being fun.
-I'd like a new young, single character, since Amelia and Charlotte got sober and boring....and they killed Dell!
-I'd love Naomi to come visit, who knew I'd end up missing her so much!!

Scandal also had a great finale, for a show with only 7 episodes. I loved it from the get go and was hooked. I know its perhaps not up to the standard of The West Wing, but its got enough for me to love it, and then there is plenty of Shonda stuff...so the best of both worlds. Plus I like that its very twisty, I never see things coming, maybe that's just cause I'm usually really tired when I watch it.
I'd love to see this season grow in its 2nd season. I really love Abby and Stephen's chemistry, and would be interested in seeing them as a couple...if this show does couples.  I really want them to make Joshua Malina's character a regular...he's in all the eps, and he's always good!
-I must note that I noted at least 2 uses of Private Practice sets in the finale, Char and Coop's apartment as that dead guys, and David's offices use some of PPP.

SNL's season finale made me cry, but see my post on that for more details.

Once Upon a Time was really good, but I did love a lot of other shows more this season, but sadly they all got cancelled....I am most upset about Ringer, Unforgettable and Pan Am. Although Pan Am felt like a complete run, the others had so much more to give!
New Girl's finale was nice, but I only LIKE that show. Raising Hope's finale made me cry (pattern), and the rest either have not yet aired, or I can't think of them right now.....
oh yes, SMASH. The finale was actually quite predictable....I knew Karen would get it, because I wanted Ivy to. And she was good, but in my head Ivy is Marilyn. Yay for more Bernadette Peters, and more Will Chase! Poor silly Ivy, pills is not the answer...
Oh yeah and what are the odds Julia is pregnant with Michael's baby?!
As for next season, more singing from Christian Borle please! And more Bernadette Peters, always more Bernadette!

Will post more if I think of it, and hopefully not too soon after this week's finales of Glee and Revenge.

A Leave of Absence

So I've been slack with my blogging. A result if having too much on tv to watch, and other things to monopolize my time.

Private Practice came back 2 weeks ago, and I'm not sure if it was the fact that it has been gone a month, but I really enjoyed it. There was good sad stuff, not just sappy crap. That said, Mason still bugs me!
The ep last week wasn't quite as good, but still not terrible. Poor Amelia!
Still not used to the new time on Tuesdays, but at least it's on. I'm loving Scandal though!

I'm watch sooo much these days, it's hard to fit it all in, let alone blog about it. I think I might need to cut back, or at least wait on a few shows. I'm thus close to giving up on Glee, I just don't care...I feel the same about Revenge! I put it on, but it's so boring I only half pay attention!

I'm slowly getting to my DVDs. I've only got a few eps of Grey's season 7 left. Then it's into in plain sight season 2....and some more west wing...which I let myself start from the begging again! Its been too long!

Hopefully I can find time to watch those DVDs I've got sitting around...plus I've got more on the way!

Also I'm still waiting for a few of my shows to get picked up for another season! They better, or I'll be very very angry!!!

Keeping Score

Last year I would have said my fave shows were Private Practice and Parenthood, closing followed by Grey's Anatomy.
This year, I still LOVE Parenthood, and Grey's, but Private Practice has dropped way down the quality scale, and become really boring. I am not excited for it like I used to be...because they made my fave characters - Charlotte, Amelia, Violet and Cooper boring. Addison is getting more interesting again, except for the fact that she keeps going back to Sam!

So obviously my expectations for the crossover with Grey's were pretty low. I really enjoyed the Grey's half. With the exception of all the Christina and Owen stuff. I love Derek and Amelia together. I also liked Lexie getting involved! The PPP half was ok. The Charlotte and Mason parts were interesting. I did like the bit at the end with char and coop, but I was sure she was going to say they should have a kid of their own! Also I felt bad that the whole time I could not decide whether I wanted Erica to live or not...if she lived we are stuck with her and if she died Char and Coop got stuck with. Mason all the time. But I guess it all worked out for the best.
I like that Sam has something else going on....but I was dying for him to speak to Naomi. I miss her!!!

In other TV news, I loved loved loved SNL this week! Maya hosted and it was hilarious! I loved that Amy Poehler came back to do Bronx beat and update. I loved the sketch with Kristen and Maya were they almost lost it, and poor Bill did. Points to Vanessa for keeping it together! Golden ep, which I will probably watch a few times over!

It's been a good tv week, but here's where I'm at with my shows.

Top Rated, Can't Live Without Them:
Parenthood - what is not to love?!
Grey's Anatomy - so glad this show bounced back. They found the funny again.
Parks and Recreation - I love this season. The stuff with Leslie and Ben is delightful!
Saturday Night Live - maybe it's not as good as previous seasons, but when it's good it's on fire!
Private Practice - close ti dropping out of thus category, sadly this show used to have me waiting to watch it, now I'm less excited for it.

Shows That I love, but could still live if they were cancelled:
Pan Am - it may not be the absolute greatest show in the world...but I love it!
The Good Wife - I love how relevant the topics are for the cases from this show. I also love the guest stars.
Cougar Town - Its back and it's awesome!
Unforgettable- never thought I'd care much about this show, but I must be in need of a crime show fix, cause I love it!
Modern Family - this show is still funny, been good lately, after a big of a slump last year.
Suburgatory - still loving this show. One of my faves of the new shows.

Shows That I just Like:
Once Upon a Time - love the fairy tales, but it if we're to go I'd be fine.
Ringer - its pretty darn good, but I don't LOVE it.
Glee - once upon a time it was so addictive and awesome, the songs were great, and so was the story. But now I'm caring less and less....until something small pulls me back in.
Ringer - really got into it at the beginning, but now I'm getting bored.
Revenge - even better than ringer to start with, and now less interesting.
30 Rock - every now and then I love an ep, but mostly I just love Liz.
Up All Night - its funny and cute and I like it, but dunno if it has lasting power.
The Finder - could really take it or leave it.

That's my TV...finales will be coming up soon, so things should get interesting.
Smash is not on the list, having just started, but it's looking great so far!

Disapointing

Well overall I gotta say that TV was pretty lame and crappy last week.

The Good Wife was one of the light sparks though. I loved Will on trial, and how it brought out his and Alicia's relationship out into the open. I loved Cary and the other 'bad guys' getting so close, and then having the jury turn on them. Awesome! I also liked the stuff with Eli and David's niece, and also I like that she isn't a total dummy.

Once Upon A Time is still good, but starting to lose me a little, in the way LOST went on too much about people's pasts (which in LOST turned out not to matter for a single thing in the end), and also doesn't seem to go on about the stories I want to know about. Much like LOST, it never seems to address any of my questions. I am intrigued by this new guy who stole Henry's book though...and if only they'd give Ginnifer Goodwin something to do except pine.

Raising Hope was good, but the betting thing got a bit annoying by the end of the episode. Little Hope dressed up as Hilary Clinton was great though!

New Girl is getting more interesting. Maybe its something to do with adding more girls into it...But I just don't LOVE it the way everyone else seems to...maybe I'm missing something? Who knows?!

Glee wasn't great this week. I am not a huge Michael Jackson fan...so the music side didn't win me over much. I liked the story parts better...which the exception of the 'rumble' with the Dalton boys....sooooo boring.    I liked Rachel's breakdown when she was forced to deal with the fact that her musical career might not be golden....even though we all know it will be. It was nice to see that addressed, because we ARE rooting for Rachel, she is talented and deserves to go far, and it was sad when she thought she might not.  I still find it very far fectched that Quinn got into YALE....but TV has proved that when it comes to College, anything is possible :P
-oh yeah...anyone remember Irish kid?! Where did he go? And bring Idina back!!!

Thursday's TV was interesting. P-Rex did an early Valentine's Day ep, which was adorable, and had plenty of Ann which I loved....the fact that she ended up on a date with Tom at the end I did NOT love... But again...how cute are Ben and Leslie?!
Up All Night was pretty average. Maybe it was because I was very out of it while I was watching it, but I was bored....not sure if this show make it.
30 Rock was also kinda boring...sometimes I don't even know if I REALLY like this show. I like bits of it, but lately it hasn't been winning me over as much.

Grey's was kinda cool this week. I couldn't stop laughing at everyone's wigs and stuff....Pink Meredith was so bright and shiny it was weird...but not as weird as her being called 'Dr Webber'....couldn't wrap my head around that one....Alex might have been my fave...soooo dorky! Everyone else was mixed up and changed slightly....poor Bailey...I love the link between Ellis not being around, and Bailey's confidence and kickass attitude...or lack there of.   Druggie Lexie was cool...(or not)  -I did NOT like the grey scrubs...they were hideodious!
I thought it was a bit harsh saying that Izzie went crazy and shot up the place!...but then maybe alternate Izzie was a BITCH! Poor George, at least he wasn't dead, just failed his intern exam.
Overall the premise started out good, but by the end everyone sorta became who they would have anyways...Addison still ended up with Mark's baby...poor 'real world' Addy...maybe she should try having a baby with Mark again :P; Meredith ended up at bar with Derek, Alex was a douche who was crappy at relationships....btw how weird were he and Mere as a couple?! Lexie's mum was still dead, but Charles wasn't...and all these weird things that by the end kinda cheapened it. But it was great for a laugh...and also the use of retro grey's music was an awesome touch!   -Also nooo Teddy...she was mentioned though...but I expected her to turn up by the end....I mean everyone else did.
Anyways, it was a fun ep of tv, and still way better that almost anything else on tv this week. Grey's you are winning my heart back again!!!!

Private Practice was perhaps one of the most boring eps of the series in a while....I'm sorry, but I LOVED this show last year, and the seasons before that...but this year is just not doing it for me. Every funny and outspoken character has been knocked down and 'evolved' into feeling, nice people. Charlotte has become SO boring...I love her, but she was awesome because she was outspoken, feisty and fun....and now she's just playing mummy to Mason. Amelia is the same, she used to be fun, but now she's so sulky and staying out of peoples way, that I REALLY miss her non-existent ability to filter. Violet and Pete drive me crazy, I liked them as a couple, but now all they do is fight...and I don't care...especially cause their arguments are nonsensical....Pete has become a complete tool, and hypocrite. I also don't care for Violet and her new beau...except for the fact that he was the only one to suggest she move!  Addison wins best character in this weeks ep, mostly for the line "Is it because you've seen my vagina in a medical way?". It was golden. -Also drunk people are funny!

Weekend TV Delayed

So since I was so busy socializing this last weekend, I watched my NBC comedies Saturday, but ran out of time for Grey's and the PPP till Sunday, which sucked cause they are my faves.

I thought 30 Rock was better than last week, and it was good this week too! But it unfortunately isn't competing for my fave show of the night.

Parks and Rec continues to be adorable and sweet while still being hilarious! Leslie and Ben are my couple of the season. Also I'm glad Rob Lowe is getting a chance to show his funny side. April was very sweet this week, after Jerry's daughter broke up with Chris. Always nice to see different sides of her.

Grey's was adorable last week. Good Arizona stuff. Good Meredith stuff, especially all the too cute for words Zola stuff.

Private Practice was good, but boy does Violet need to move!!!!! Her house is cursed!!! Still not thrilled with Mason and his dying mother...I find her annoying, and the kid kinda annoying. But I am enjoying a different side of Charlotte, but there is no way they can live in that shoebox apartment with a 9 year old! -I did also enjoy some more hospital stuff with Charlotte...especially since she doesn't seem to have any patients of her own....remember the good old sexology days?! As well as some Violet stuff that involved characters other than Pete or Addison!!

I really missed my Dramas last week. Glad that they'll be back this week. -Still not LOVING The Finder, but I do love Geoff Stults, he's adorable, (as well as a jinx....October Road anyone?) so I must keep watching as long as its not terrible, which its definitely not yet....

Also, I'm really getting through Parenthood season 2 on dvd....and Ness and I have almost finished season 1 of Friday Night Lights - I gave in and decided to buy the complete series, so that's on its way to me now. YAY!

And there is plenty more good tv to come this week!!!!

Thurday Night TV Is Nuts!!!!

So this week I had seven shows to watch from the US's Thursday night....crazy. I had 3 NBC, 2 ABC and 2 Fox shows...didn't get a chance to watch any Friday night, so I watched them all yesterday.

30 Rock was back. YAY. Although I must say I didn't get much out of the ep...but it's sure to get better. Liz acting all happy and stuff was weird, but not really that funny. Jenna as usual was annoying, and not a lot else happened...except that the baby playing Jack's daughter Liddie, was ADORABLE! (But not as cute as Zola....)

Parks and Rec was good, lots of group time, which is always fun. I liked having plenty of Ann stuff, and Ann and Leslie stuff. I liked Ben and Chris hanging out, loser unemployed Ben was great! But it was clear from the start that'd he'd end up being Leslie's campaign manager.

Up All Night was okay. I found myself a little bored with their New Years. But Maya never fails to entertain. Missy is usually entertaining, but in this week's ep all the stuff with her british boyfriend was annoying...I half expected and her and Ava to switch boyfriends!

Grey's Anatomy was good as usual. I liked intense Arizona...at least it gave her something to do. I didn't like Alex giving up all his big moments to the Chief, soooo annoying. Christina and Teddy were heartbreaking, how Christina just had to keep telling Teddy what happened until she was finally able to accept it.Not caring about Bailey anymore...her boyfriend is annoying, and she's annoying. Bailey used to kick ass, but now not so much.
AND oh my goodness was the stuff with Meredith, Derek and baby Zola too freaking adorable for words!

I find myself enjoying Private Practice this year (the whole 2 eps we've had) a little better than what we got last year, they found a little more of the funny. I like Amelia slowing finding herself again. I'm hating Violet and Pete...I like them as a couple, so them being apart is weird. I like Sam and Addie moving on. I enjoyed boys night, but it was still weird...and lacking Sheldon. -They should go back to playing poker. ...and also they need Girls Night...cause Addison and Violet have become a couple themselves, I really really really really miss Violet and Cooper. They have barely even had 2 seconds together this season. Also I love that Charlotte is growing emotionally -she's kinda cute playing mummy, and also that Cooper is growing UP, but I wish they'd be a bit more fun again, they've turned into a boring married couple. The storyline with Mason's mother was kinda predictable...but I wish Charlotte and Amelia hadn't just jumped into illegally gaining access to her medical records....come on Charlotte...you RUN the hospital!!!!! She used to be a stick to the rules girl...you could respect that. (And since when do they just accept a tumor...and not try to get rid of it on these shows) -also a partition?! Charlotte you need a HOUSE...or a new place with at least 2 bedrooms...they also have those on the internet :P ok I'm letting it go.

Bones was good, I liked the case and there was fun stuff with Hodgins as usual. I like Booth looking for a house...and more importantly finding one....who knew that Bones would like a house that was ripped apart so you could see the houses 'bones'.
I also watched the spin-off The Finder. It was okay, I'd keep watching if I can keep up the time...although I think Bones in going on break for a while, so that should be okay. The recasting was interesting, between the set-up ep in Bones, and this new ep for series. That young girl is gonna get annoying, I can tell.

I wish there wasn't so much packed into 1 night, but there isn't even much that I would be willing to postpone till the next day, maybe The Finder....

Golden Globes tomorrow. Can't wait.

Its Back Baby!

Finally my tv is coming back. With Parenthood, Grey's and Private Practice all returning this week, along with Suburgatory, Modern Family and Unforgettable.

I have missed Parenthood like crazy. The road trip was hilarious. I love the Bravermans. I loved the stuff with Kristina and Max. It was good to see him face consequences. But I though Zeke was a bit out of line, sometimes he really annoys me.
Have I mentioned how much I like Joel?! He's always to be counted on for a laugh as an outside observer of the Braverman clan.

Grey's was great, picking up where we left off last year. I loved the stuff with Christina and Teddy, I felt bad for Teddy not knowing that he was dead, but worse for Christina actually...because hiding the truth from her for all that time was heartbreaking. Big YAY for Meredith and Derek getting baby Zola back!!!! I'm interested to see how this all goes.  -Wish I cared more about Bailey, but she's become kinda boring. And I just wish Jason George was still busy with Off The Map...I liked him much better on that show. Alex was going a little nuts, but I like it. Can't wait till the alternate reality ep coming up, should be SO much fun.

PPP was great, well a lot better anyways. Although the start of the ep really made no reference to the end of the previous ep which felt kinda cliff-hanger-y with Addison and a pregnancy test...it seemed lazy not to tie up that loose end. I REALLY don't care about Addison and her baby anymore. It has just become too annoying and rushed. I did LOVE Charlotte and Sheldon at the shooting range. I love when Charlotte does something kind of out there....but nothing beats her renovating Cooper's bathroom in season 3. However....Charlotte has become the wise person on the show with all the advice....when did that happen?! and can she ever get her edge back and find the funny - Charlotte and Amelia used to be outspoken and funny...but they seem to have lost that, I hope they can find it again. Violet and Addie being BFF's is weird for me....they seem to have done that to fill in the gap left by Naomi...who I now find myself really missing. I wish there was more with Violet and Cooper...they've spent hardly any time at all together this year. Also Violet and Pete make me sad. I don't LOVE them like I love Charlotte and Cooper, but I like them together, and after all their history I was enjoying them being a proper couple...but I guess that's tv for ya.
I don't like Jake. I don't like Cooper's kid. I am glad that Sam and Addison finally broke up. -Oh and yay Cooper and Charlotte finally had sex....or what looked like it was leading to sex...(Its been 9 eps without them even referencing it, and that seemed really wrong for those 2).
Oh and best part of the ep? - No Erica!!!

Almost all is right with my world....but lets see if I can manage to fit it all in...its going to be a crazy week this week.

Friday Night TV Madness

So because I was out Thursday night I was a day behind on my tv. But since I was A) pathetic & B) exhausted, I had no plans Friday night and was able to use that time to catch up. The Friday shows took ages to download, so while that was annoying, it made it easier.

Suburgatory was quite good. Ana was a bit scary, but in a good way. Lol. -I really liked Tessa's party dress!
Modern Family was ok, but I think I've stopped caring about that show. Its just not as funny anymore.
Revenge was pretty good, glad it was back again. And wow, Ringer just keeps getting more and more twisted. I love it!
Bones was good. Nice to see Daisy in it again. I thought I didn't like her, but she's pretty entertaining.
Community was very lame. I didn't care for the ep at all. -Gotta say that Jeff dressed up as The Dean, I swore he looked just like David Cross from Arrested Development.

Parks and Recs. SOOOOOO good. But I must have been tired, cause the stuff with Leslie and Ben at the end made me cry....and then very very happy!!!!
I gotta say, I know Amy Poehler is funny as heck, but she has really nailed the dramatic stuff this season!!!!
And YAY for Ann, and decent Ann too! When did Ron become Andy's dad?

Private Practice took its time downloading, and so I didn't get to watch it till Saturday lunchtime. But it was SOOO worth the wait. The first hour was awesome, the intervention thing was done really well. Caterina Scorsone did a fantastic job. I also thought it was good to see Charlotte's reactions to things, like not voting on giving Amelia drugs and knowing that she was lying through her teeth - given her drug history and friendship with Amelia!
It was good to finally see Addison step up and take a little responsibility for Amelia. It really was Addison, Charlotte...and apparently Sheldon's place to take on Amelia...as they are the only ones that were friendly, but it was good the others were there to help...an allied front is always good. -I still think it sucks that they never called Amelia's mother and brother in...maybe in the future.
-Sheldon is starting to freak me out...he's old enough to be Amelia's father, so any relationship there is just wrong...plus he's already been with Violet and Charlotte...how big of an office slut is he?!

There were a few funny moments, like Amelia chanting for drugs, the riddler convo, and Violet and Pete cracking up on the kitchen floor.

The 2nd half was good, but a little odd....like Violet and Addy being friends...its seems weird. Plus Charlotte is now on the outside. -I miss Violet and Charlotte with martinis.
Violet and Pete make me sad. I wish they'd get over their crap....cause they can't split...that'd ruin the show!
Cooper missing his kid's play was soooo predictable...poor Charlotte having to go without Cooper and sit in the front row...(still funny picturing Charlotte King playing video games...). I liked Charlotte's crack at Addison "10 miles of bad road" (whatever the heck that means), and Violet telling her off...it was a nice little flashback to the good old days....when Charlotte had spunk.

I guess its good that Jake got a little more backstory, a convenient tie-in too. But I just don't like him. I miss Naomi. Something feels wrong this season...and it can't be just that Naomi is gone, cause she was never there that much anyways....I'm still thrown by the fact that its been 9 eps and Char and Coop haven't mentioned sex once....what happened to these people?! lol

Oh...one more thing....did they actually celebrate a holiday/event in PPP?! They've never even referenced holidays before...and also....since when can Addison cook?! But it was still nice.

Tuesday Gold

So I wasn't expecting anything from Glee this season, but I have to admit I loved this weeks ep! I'd say the fact that Idina was all over it AND sang might play part in that. I enjoyed the songs too. But made me miss Rock of Ages more. I liked the stuff with Santana, and even the Rachel stuff. I just wish every ep could be good, instead of so hit and miss.

Parenthood was awesome! I loved the stuff with Sydney. So funny! The stuff with Max and those boys was sad, but funny when Kristina told them off.
And yay for more Drew stuff! I saw the Adam and that girl thing coming mile away, and didn't like it.

Raising Hope was great too. I like when Sabrina gets more to do. She cracks me up. I still don't think it's as good as last season, but this ep was much closer to it.

Even The New Girl was kinda good this week. It's still not great, but it had a few good moments this week....even if Justin Long's character was a little weird, but it was still funny.

Haven't watched anything tonight, since I had other plans, but I'll try and catch up tomorrow as much as I can. Gotta get through all the Thursday stuff too. Can't wait for 2 hour PPP...even if it is all we get till  next year. :(

On a High Note

So overall I enjoyed this weeks tv muchly....except for Glee. -Okay it wasn't terrible, there were some good bits. I did like that Emma and Beast had some storylines. I liked that Mr Schue was barely in it. I also liked the intergration of the West Side Story music into the rest of the plot - it was pretty much a West Side Story ep, but much less IN YOUR FACE.  I missed Idina. -But it worries me just how few characters I even like anymore. I don't really like any of the kids...cept for Kurt. Rachel, while annoying, is actually consistent...and less in your face this season.

Parenthood was sooo good this week...the stuff with Seth and Amber made me cry! Poor Amber. I knew Seth was going to be trouble...oh Sarah...
As far as the other storylines...I'm pretty bored with the Crosby and Jasmine stuff...Dr Joe annoys me.  The Kristina stuff was ok, the new secretary was an old story though. BORING.
I liked Zeke having 'The Fever'...but he should just let Adam have it...he does it MUCH better.

I'm officially all caught up with Ringer. I've actually come to really enjoy it. It just gets twistier and twistier. I am liking that Juliet girl...she's interesting.

ALL the Thursday tv was good. Parks and Rec was hilarious, yet all the Leslie and Ben stuff still made me sad. -I did love the ref to Mighty Ducks 2 by Andy.  Oh and I LOVED that Ann got to do more this week!
Community's weird musical thing was weird, but good. And I couldn't help "awwing" for the little puppet show Abed and Troy put on for Annie.
Bones was good. Lots of good Booth and Brennan stuff. New Squintern is interesting...the stuff with Hodgins was both funny, and weird...and kinda mean. -The snake was kinda cool too...

Grey's was awesome! Sadly that's the last ep for this year :( But what an ep. Poor Henry....he was a gonna from the start. And poor Teddy, they shouldn't have lied to her, but it was necessary for the sake of her patient. I didn't quite get the whole Ambulance breaking down thing...and it didn't explode like they said it would....but for a few seconds there it was scary!  Poor Mer and Der...they need baby Zola back.

Private Practice was good this week. Finally a good Charlotte ep -I realise that whethe or not there is good Charlotte stuff is not the same as A good ep, but there WAS good Charlotte stuff in addition to other good stuff. I liked that Charlotte got to do fun stuff -like making fun of the cupcakes and playing wii tennis with Mason, in addition to the trying to stop Amelia from taking prescription pads. -Which speaking of...I gotta mention that when Amelia started pushing Charlotte....I found myself wondering who would win in a fight between those two...I can't decide.
They were right, this ep WAS funny. I loved Sheldon and the cupcakes. I loved the codeword 'tacos' when discussing Amelia in front of Mason. I loved the end with Char and Coop playing with Mason - always said Charlotte would be better with an older kid...-Violet's the only one who hasn't met him...which seems odd...
And its official, Char and Coop need a house. Or at least a bigger apartment. Mason can't sleep on the couch all the time when he visits.
Poor Amelia...oh and yay for Addison finally stepping in! -The stuff with Amelia's story is soooo sad, and when she moved from pills onto the hard stuff....ugh, it hurt. -Can't wait for next week's 2 hour double ep! -PPP has never done a 2 hour ep before. -Caterina Scorsone is rocking it this season!
-oh and points for referencing Violet and Cooper's fave show American Bakeoff!

The TV Has Returned!

So all the FOX shows were back this week, as was Parenthood.

Tuesday night saw a good ep of Parenthood, but I am SO over Jasmine. She needs to go or get back with Crosby.
Poor crazy Kristina, it's not too much to ask for a little bit of family time is it?
Still loving the adorableness that is Mark and Sarah. Pity it's not going to last.

Enjoyed Raising Hope, but I still don't know if it's up to the quality of last yeah. A least Shelly was back in it this week. There is not enough Sabrina either.
Still on the fence with The New Girl. I liked this ep better, but it's still not great.
Glee was also not great this week. The songs were meh and the stories were annoying. Yay for Idina, but that thing with Shelby and Puck was semi icky.

Liked Revenge this week, having the real Emily Thorne turn up was interesting. Looking forward to where that goes. Also, Declan is annoying and stupid.

Modern Family, Up All Night and Suburgatory were ok, but not great. - Community also sucked.

Parks and Rec was good, yay for Ann (all 5 seconds of her) - and Ann and Leslie at that! But the stuff with Leslie and Ben just makes me sad. Which is odd for a comedy. But they are just too cute together.

Bones is back baby! Plenty of cute stuff, especially the scene with Angela, Hodgins, Cam and the baby. Adorable! Booth and Bones as a couple is weird, but good. I'll adjust.

Grey's was good this week, I really enjoyed the Heart in a Box/Magic 8 Ball thing, it made for good Christina stuff. The whole Mrs O'Malley turning up was kinda strange, but good. I liked the reminiscing about George -which doesn't happen a lot when characters die/leave. -Points for mentioning Izzie once. Mark and Jackson's Bromance is too funny. I am really enjoying the Mark stuff lately, he's more interesting when he has no life.

PPP was good, but weird. It worries me when Addison is leading the comedy and light hearted storylines. Amelia had entertaining stuff...including waking up the stranger in her bed. But the rest of it was a downer. Charlotte's flashbacks to the origin of her pill problem was kinda strange, and not just because of the REALLY bad dark wig they had on her. Anyone remember when Charlotte was fun? I miss building a bathroom Charlotte, and dress up in crazy outfits Charlotte. -And can Addison even acknowledge Amelia already?!  Speaking of....the whole Sam helping pick out the sperm donor is just wrong on SO many levels. Sorry Sam, you gotta go!

And that concludes last week's tv. Tomorrow will bring a whole new lot of awesomeness and probably some crappiness too.

Halloween Week

So there have been a few Halloween themed eps this week, some good some bad.
Parks and Rec was adorable this week, Andy and April had a Halloween party, and Leslie and Tom were off doing work stuff, but it ended cute. -Also Ann got to do more which was fun. I have no idea what is going on with Ann...are they phasing her out?!
Community also had a good Halloween ep. It was really weird and in some placed dumb, but I enjoyed the 'ghost stories'.

Grey's had the whole group playing Softball....for some weird reason, but it made for plenty of cute/silly moments. -I loved Meredith getting drunk....the fighting with Bailey was both good and bad...it just felt wrong somehow...I know Mer did wrong, but Bailey is less fun when she's angry all the time.
Yay for more Scott Foley....and also time outside the hospital....overall he's pretty useless though...they never spend much time on him and Teddy alone...they always seem to be with other characters.   -Yay for Christina graduating from the Teddy school of surgery - yay she learned something!!!

The PPP was good this week, but really sad. Yay for Amelia getting a big storyline, even if it was really sad and depressing. Addison found the funny, which makes me glad. I used to find her funny, but she's been annoying lately, but her doped up with hormones made for entertaining stuff...especially the scene with the doughnut-holes. Cooper's kid storyline is still not fun, but hopefully should get better soon....it will be fun to see Charlotte deal with a kid. -Speaking of, VERY light Char ep this week, she had 1 proper scene and one ER scene which doesn't really count. Also I miss Char and Cooper, they lost the funny again, they need to bring that back PRONTO!   -I'm glad Pete is being nicer to Violet. His bad attitude was getting old.
-Oh and I liked the call backs - Pete and Joel Grey's character from season 2, and Naomi and her food.

A few other shows weren't on this week. No Up All Night, no Modern Family, no Parenthood. And still no Fox shows. But luckily they'll be back next week and they're bringing Bones with them!

Revenge wasn't as good this week, hope it gets back to being good...cause that'll suck if it goes bad.  Pan Am is still great, but hasn't been picked up yet...which is a worry.

Once Upon a Time started this week. It's really weird, which makes me think it won't last. It's quite out there. I don't know if I like it yet, but I didn't hate the pilot...in fact it gave me a happy feeling.

I'm still catching up on Ringer and Unforgettable. Which doesn't bode well that I don't LOVE them but I'm still giving them a chance.
I started season 3 of 90210 on dvd, so I'm trying to get through that when I can. There is never enough time for all the TV.

A TV-Palooza

So this week I've powered through a few shows, with less nights out and less on tv making it possible to fit more into my tv week.

Parenthood was good this week -as usual. I liked that it was mostly all about the adults, its refreshing. But I'm not liking the Seth storyline - mostly cause I am sure it will be the end of Jason Ritter's character - Mark and Sarah are doomed! Drew and his girlfriend are adorable, and yay for Drew getting his own storyline...finally making up for the lack of Drew in seasons 1 and 2! BIG yay for Joel standing up for Sarah to Zeke. Who knew he had it in him!!!!
I found the Cee Lo thing annoying. But it worked for the storyline I guess.

Finally got around to watching last weekend's SNL. Overall it sucked, it wasn't that Anna Faris was a bad host, but the sketches were kinda boring. The only one I really liked was the one with the girls singing!

I got around to the second ep of Revenge earlier this week, and had watched 3, 4 and 5 by Friday night! I'm hooked! Its a great show, and I'm glad Emily VanCamp got her own show, they never did enough with her in Brothers & Sisters in the end. Madeleine Stowe is both awesome and scary as Victoria...who knows what she's got going on. -I'll have to thank Vicky for telling me it was good, and getting me interested to watch it in the first place, as by the preview it looked terrible....go figure!

I'm worried about Downton Abbey. It's becoming way too soapy for my liking. But I'll keep watching for now. Making Matthew unable to walk could get really boring after a little while.

This week's Modern Family wasn't bad, maybe it was the no Lily that made it better.
Suburgatory was weird this week. I love when they have lots of Ana Gasteyer, but the scene where she kept saying 'Wicked' messed with my head - Ana being one of Broadway's Elphie's.
Up All Night's flashback ep to Amy's birth was good. But I hope they don't do stuff like that too much cause it might get old, and mess with my timeline of the show.

Finally finished the special features of Parks & Recreation season 2. But I've got a whole stack of dvds I need to start watching that I ordered from Amazon a while ago! Raising Hope arrived last week, I'd totally forgotten about it, but it's going to the bottom of the list.

Grey's Anatomy was pretty boring this week....why is Meredith delivering babies?! If she's gonna play with babies, she should at least be doing surgery on them - Addison Montgomery style! -Also the pink scrubs did not suit her!   April found a more authoritative tone for her voice...necessary I guess. Alex is being a complete doush! I used to like him, but now he's just mean and awful to everyone.   The only part of the ep I really liked was Mark and Arizona going cooking crazy! Who knew Mark would end up being my fave male character on that show?!
-I'm wondering when they'll get around to a crossover ep with the PPP...maybe Derek can come visit his little sis....and yell at her for drinking again. Addy is clearly not taking care of her properly.

Speaking off....Addison and her baby thing just gets more and more annoying. I'm all for Addy having a kid, but can she just end it with Sam already...that's just stupid.   This week's ep was lacking in Amelia, but at least Charlotte got to do a bit more than glare. I still don't like this new Cooper storyline...At least someone finally did a paternity test....guess the kid is sticking around now...boo. I wanted a Charlotte and Cooper baby -which I imagine either won't happen, or will be a long while off. It was so sad when Coop was getting all excited while telling Charlotte...a little tact might have been nice, it seemed like he was rubbing it in. The phrase 'Poor Charlotte' came to mind many many times during this ep. - And talk about waiting...they've been married a few months and he needs a kid already...seriously Coop....IDIOT.
-Also points for using the phrase "Mini Cooper".
Meanwhile, Pete is becoming extremely unlikeable. He's being an ass. He needs a shrink that ISN'T Sheldon! Sheldon needs a vacation from these people!!! Last year he was helping Char and Coop, now its Violet and Pete.
Oh and can we talk about the renaming of the practice, Seaside Health and Wellness....terrible terrible name, but crazier still, is that they kept the same logo, just redid the name....why even bother?! -Also they gossip so bad, they clearly learned nothing from last season. -And can Violet get her job back already?!

Extreme TV!

So this week I've found myself watching more tv than usual....although since the FOX shows are off till November, I do have a little more time.

Highlights of this week.

Parenthood - Seth came back drunk and is gonna cause trouble for Sarah and Mark, which sucks cause they are so cute! I found great amusement in Seth calling Mark 'Captain Morgan'. But the funniest moment was when Adam came out dressed in his street gear....I almost couldn't stop myself from laughing to keep watching!
Amber was enlisted to help Max understand apologies. And Kristina FINALLY had her baby! But Nora is a weird name and I don't like it. - Oh and that coffee girl decided to give Julia her baby!

Suburgatory was excellent this week! Plenty of Ana Gastyer which made for plenty of hilarity. Jeremy Sisto is starting to become more believable to me as a dad too which is helping. And yay for it getting a full season pickup!

Grey's was good..ish. Oh Lexie come back already! But yay for bringing baby Zola back...even if she was just a patient. But the stuff with her was toooo cute. -I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Mer and Der are gonna get her back...cause otherwise bringing her back is just a tease. Get on with it!!!!
Poor April....she needs to learn to filter her facebook apparently...eek. Jackson's mom was a bit scary, but not nearly as bad as Ellis Grey! Yay for Scott Foley! But give him more than 1 little scene...boring. And yay for Bailey breaking up with that nurse guy...he was ANNOYING! This ep was rather Callie light too, which was dissapointing after an all boys ep. But overall good ep.

PPP was good this week, much more enjoyable than last week. However...that ending did not please me. I'm not sure I'm liking where this Cooper/Charlotte storyline is going...but I guess I have to trust the writers. I love that Jake has become the guru for the guys. -His office is huge...apparently that floor has had a complete remodel, with Sheldon also getting a new, smaller office. -Gotta mention the big round window outside Jake's office - did OWG just become the Morgue from Crossing Jordan?!
I also found it odd that they were hanging out in the 'coffee/lounge' area...was the kitchen being cleaned?!
Yay for Amelia having good storylines. Michaela Watkins is hilarious. I miss her on SNL! Sheldon is spending all his time helping Pete and keeping an eye on Amelia who is fighting with Charlotte. - I got a kick out of Charlotte calling herself "The Wicked Witch of St Ambrose"...while wearing a green dress.... I hope those two make up soon.
Also in this episode...we learned Violet is not allowed to be amongst the people...I hope she gets her license back soon, or poor Lucas is going to have an even crazier mom!  And...Addison was there...oh yeah, she and Violet are now 'friends' as opposed to whatever they were before....I dunno it was weird. I miss Naomi! She balanced the girls better.
-Odd note....if that kid Mason is in fact Cooper's son....his next kid will have to be called Thatcher or Hunter or something...

Community was also great this week. I hate that that show is so hit and miss. For every golden ep, they have at least 2 bad ones.  But the different timelines was excellent! But I find it interesting that everyone has more fun and gets along better without Jeff around.

Parks and Recs was good, but what the heck is going on with Ann?! They hardly do anything with her anymore...and are she and Leslie even friends anymore? Cause you wouldn't know it with the way they seem to ignore each other! I LOVED Ben buying the Batman suit! Too funny!

I also watched some new shows last night. Finally got around to trying out hour long shows. I watched Revenge which was really good!!! I also watched Pan Am which was good, but not great. I'll try to get around to Unforgettable and A Gifted Man if I can find the time!

TV Triumphs and Fails

So this week was the first cancellation of shows that I was watching. Free Agents with Kathryn Hahn got the axe. I'm okay with that, I liked it, but thought it really should have been a lot better. So at least that's one less show to watch each week.

Parenthood was great this week, with Max and Jabbar fighting over Max making him sit with him at lunch. Good storyline. I also like Drew and his girlfriend, cause its so adorable. And yay for more Sarah and Mr Cyr....or whatever his real name is. I could have lived without the Zeke storyline though...ick

I loved the Grey's 'Boys ep'. It actually worked really well. Although the fact that they all spent most of the ep building Derek's deck was a little odd. But Sloan and Derek fighting over Avery...and the Chief (cause he will always be The Chief) helping out Alex with an excuse for being late....were pretty funny. Overall I didn't hate it at all, like I thought I would.
-Oh and Sloan letting baby Sofia role off the couch and under the table was kinda hilarious. And that geek being in love with April was adorable...till she didn't know of Hobbits.

PPP was okay, but not as fun as the 1st ep of the season. Cooper was being stupid! How many times is he going to get into trouble?! - But I did like the little call-backs with his attempts at Charlotte's password. He's lucky Charlotte is a good problem solver, otherwise her job could have been on the line!
Amelia has apparently moved into Addison's house and Addison has moved in with Sam...so I guess that's one way of saving on sets. Amelia is sober, she's gonna get to cut....and so now she's drinking again....Boo. Bad Amelia. And Poor Violet...she's stuck - not being able to work and dealing with a grumpy Pete.
Still not loving Pineapple Guy...or Fiji Guy as I think we are now calling him. Maybe he'll grow on me. I'll try to like him better. -I think my fave scene of the ep was Violet and Sheldon gossiping about him and Addy.
-I also forgot to mention that it was weird watching last week's season premiere without Ness...since we have watched the last 3 season prems together. - not to mention pretty much all the eps from the 2nd half of last season. But I'd adjusted by this week.

P-Rex was hilarious as usual. I loved that Leslie was born in Eagleton....but I saw that coming the second they said she wasn't born in Pawnee....Chris Pratt was hilarious!!!!!!
Community was weird this week...too much Chang...and it was super creepy!
Modern Family was good, but Cam and Mitchell's storylines are getting annoying.
Up All Night was good again this week. I'm definitely loving the show, but would probably still okay if it got canned.
There were also 2 eps of Raising Hope this week for some reason. The Tuesday ep was a bit meh, but the Wednesday ep was awesome! I love Sabrina!
Oh and Melissa McCarthy was HILARIOUS on SNL! Loved it!
