LOST Finale Relived & Other TV

So Ness and I finished rewatching LOST on Saturday night. The ending was bad...probably worse than I remembered. But for me it was still worth all of it for the scene with Sawyer and Juliet! They got points for bringing back Boon and Shannon and Charlie. But the whole ending was crazy. They should have just left it on the island and let them go home. Oh well...it was still a great show on a whole.

In other more recent tv news...

Revolution has not been as good the last two weeks on a whole. They have split up the group into Aaron and Rachel, and Miles, Charlie and Nora...and occasionally we see the Nevilles and Monroe.
Last week Rachel went to find yet another old friend that is involved in this power outage mess. -Wish they'd stop doing the...oh Rachel happens to know another random person that knows how to turn the lights back on...thing. Its getting old.
I agree with people complaining about these 2 bit characters they keep bringing in...we don't care. If its not about the main group/s, or involving them a lot it doesn't matter to me.
I don't care about Aaron's wife....sorry, but I don't. But maybe now that Aaron has run into her again, he can get over it and stop being such a whinger.
Speaking of Aaron...Elizabeth Mitchell was pretty much a glorified extra this week. Seriously...more flashbacks please...explaining what the heck was going on with Rachel back in the day, and Ben and Miles...Its a mess! Plus I want to know more about why Bass kept her hostage.
Didn't care about the Miles/Bass/Emma storyline much....maybe the fact that Monroe has a son will have some impact on the rest of the season...but the rest was kinda boring. Miles went alone as ordered...the others turned up of course and saved his hide...
Notes for this week - where did Rachel and Charlie find the hairbrushes and shampoo...and hairdryers?! -why the heck do the people in Georgia dress like they are going to the office/church after all this time with no power and how do they keep them clean and pressed?! - Hurry up with the backstories!

The Good Wife wrapped up for the season this week. In a great twist Alicia made out with Will then agreed to team up with Cary to open a new firm. Its gonna be sooooo good next season! I was also cool that they brought back Martha Plimpton. Her character is great fun. It was also great to have Mamie Gummer in the show the other week. The Good Wife has THE BEST and the most guest stars!

Smash has been really good lately too. Which sucks cause it is probably not getting another season...but I would be sooooo happy if it did!
I love Jeremy Jordan, but Jimmy is really annoying. He doesn't really seem to have any good qualities..and I find myself not caring about him at all.

The Big C is back. Its good that they are doing double length episodes. But there are only going to be 4 eps to wrap it all up. The first one was sad, but great. Can't wait to see how it all fits together in the last 3.

I finished off Parenthood season 3 this week too. I love the show, but on a whole its not the kind that I watch episodes over and over. However it was fun to rewatch it all, and will fill the void till its back later in the year. - thank goodness its been picked up for another season!

I also borrowed Significant Others from Vanessa and watched all 6 episodes this week....just for a little more Elizabeth Mitchell overdose. Jennifer Garner was sooo little...I forgot that it was that old, 1998 is a million years ago! I thought it was around 2000. Anyways...good cast, and had good moments, but overall was slow and the stories didn't connect that well. I had a few notes that I thought of while I was watching: 1) With Jennifer, Elizabeth, Michael Whetherly, and Eion Bailey - I thought give them all guns, it would be interesting - based other shows they have all been in. 2) Between LOST and Revolution I wish Elizabeth's character wasn't married to another BEN! Sorry Tim Guinee...but Michael Whetherly is way prettier than you! lol. 3) Even though I watched it years ago back in the mid 2000's I remembered a fair bit of it.

The Good Wife

I know I don't talk about it much, because its not a flashy show, but I am really enjoying The Good Wife this season. They have been doing a bit more quirky stuff, with new recurring guest stars like Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet -I just wish they could have a scene together for a Studio 60 reunion!

I'm liking the stuff with Cary this year, him breaking out and I am kinda hoping him and Alicia DO start up their own firm. It'd be cool to see them go agisnt Will. That ep where they had to do a mock trial against them was lots of fun.
As much as I'd hate to lose time with Will and Diane, the show does kinda need a new direction.

I am also loving this new investigator girl. She's very different from Kalinda, although she appears to be hiding stuff as well. But she's fun and a little kooky which I can appreciate.

Peter also seems to be around less lately, which I like too. He's okay in small doses, but I prefer the focus to be on the Lockhart Gardner people, and less on Alicia's family issues.

Revolution/ER/Brothers & Sisters Connections

Pretty much watching nothing but ER these days...but I have slowed down a little bit. I've just finished season 7. Which has some great Abby stuff with Sally Field guest starring as her crazy mother.
It also means I've finished with Elizabeth Mitchell's eps, so that will make it easier watching Revolution. Not that she was in ER that much anyways for being in 17 eps....but it was still good. But not her best character, and all the making out with Laura Innes was weird.
Now I'll have to drag out season 8, cause I don't want Mark Green to die!

Speaking of Revolution. It is still awesome after the 1st ep back. Plenty of good Rachel stuff, but also good Miles, Charlie and Aaron stuff. I don't care so much about the Neville family stuff. But the line from this week's ep by Jason was my fave line of the year. "What's a boy band?"
It was good to get an explanation of what made the power go out, but it still didn't exactly say why...and I'm more interested in the why...and the flashbacks that should tell me. I want to know what went on with Miles and Bass, and why Rachel went willingly as a prisoner?!

Raising Hope has wrapped for the season. The finale was okay, but it was the 2nd last ep that I loved. The not really a musical musical ep. "I'm gonna rock the Torah" is still stuck in my head.

Smash finally got better...meaning Ivy is back as Marilyn, but it looks like season 3 is a pipe dream. But this season has not been great. I blame Hit List...2 musicals is fun in theory, but Smash was at its best when it was about building Bombshell, and Ivy vs. Karen.

Here's hoping Nashville gets a 2nd season. The last few eps have been great. If only they could get rid of Avery...he's annoying and there are way too many characters with non-connecting storylines.
Yay for more Lennon and Maisy Stella singing. Those little girls kick ass!

The Good Wife and Once Upon a Time are off for a few more weeks. But my comedies are starting to wrap up too.

Mad Men is back, the first ep was kinda boring. I don't like Megan. Betty bores me.
I liked having Kerris Lilla Dorsey in an ep. Thought it was cool having her and Max Cotton's little brother in a scene together...almost a Brothers and Sisters reunion.
I also didn't recognize Linda Cardellini  at first, which seeing as I'm watching ER.....I felt bad about.

Keeping Score

Last year I would have said my fave shows were Private Practice and Parenthood, closing followed by Grey's Anatomy.
This year, I still LOVE Parenthood, and Grey's, but Private Practice has dropped way down the quality scale, and become really boring. I am not excited for it like I used to be...because they made my fave characters - Charlotte, Amelia, Violet and Cooper boring. Addison is getting more interesting again, except for the fact that she keeps going back to Sam!

So obviously my expectations for the crossover with Grey's were pretty low. I really enjoyed the Grey's half. With the exception of all the Christina and Owen stuff. I love Derek and Amelia together. I also liked Lexie getting involved! The PPP half was ok. The Charlotte and Mason parts were interesting. I did like the bit at the end with char and coop, but I was sure she was going to say they should have a kid of their own! Also I felt bad that the whole time I could not decide whether I wanted Erica to live or not...if she lived we are stuck with her and if she died Char and Coop got stuck with. Mason all the time. But I guess it all worked out for the best.
I like that Sam has something else going on....but I was dying for him to speak to Naomi. I miss her!!!

In other TV news, I loved loved loved SNL this week! Maya hosted and it was hilarious! I loved that Amy Poehler came back to do Bronx beat and update. I loved the sketch with Kristen and Maya were they almost lost it, and poor Bill did. Points to Vanessa for keeping it together! Golden ep, which I will probably watch a few times over!

It's been a good tv week, but here's where I'm at with my shows.

Top Rated, Can't Live Without Them:
Parenthood - what is not to love?!
Grey's Anatomy - so glad this show bounced back. They found the funny again.
Parks and Recreation - I love this season. The stuff with Leslie and Ben is delightful!
Saturday Night Live - maybe it's not as good as previous seasons, but when it's good it's on fire!
Private Practice - close ti dropping out of thus category, sadly this show used to have me waiting to watch it, now I'm less excited for it.

Shows That I love, but could still live if they were cancelled:
Pan Am - it may not be the absolute greatest show in the world...but I love it!
The Good Wife - I love how relevant the topics are for the cases from this show. I also love the guest stars.
Cougar Town - Its back and it's awesome!
Unforgettable- never thought I'd care much about this show, but I must be in need of a crime show fix, cause I love it!
Modern Family - this show is still funny, been good lately, after a big of a slump last year.
Suburgatory - still loving this show. One of my faves of the new shows.

Shows That I just Like:
Once Upon a Time - love the fairy tales, but it if we're to go I'd be fine.
Ringer - its pretty darn good, but I don't LOVE it.
Glee - once upon a time it was so addictive and awesome, the songs were great, and so was the story. But now I'm caring less and less....until something small pulls me back in.
Ringer - really got into it at the beginning, but now I'm getting bored.
Revenge - even better than ringer to start with, and now less interesting.
30 Rock - every now and then I love an ep, but mostly I just love Liz.
Up All Night - its funny and cute and I like it, but dunno if it has lasting power.
The Finder - could really take it or leave it.

That's my TV...finales will be coming up soon, so things should get interesting.
Smash is not on the list, having just started, but it's looking great so far!

Disapointing

Well overall I gotta say that TV was pretty lame and crappy last week.

The Good Wife was one of the light sparks though. I loved Will on trial, and how it brought out his and Alicia's relationship out into the open. I loved Cary and the other 'bad guys' getting so close, and then having the jury turn on them. Awesome! I also liked the stuff with Eli and David's niece, and also I like that she isn't a total dummy.

Once Upon A Time is still good, but starting to lose me a little, in the way LOST went on too much about people's pasts (which in LOST turned out not to matter for a single thing in the end), and also doesn't seem to go on about the stories I want to know about. Much like LOST, it never seems to address any of my questions. I am intrigued by this new guy who stole Henry's book though...and if only they'd give Ginnifer Goodwin something to do except pine.

Raising Hope was good, but the betting thing got a bit annoying by the end of the episode. Little Hope dressed up as Hilary Clinton was great though!

New Girl is getting more interesting. Maybe its something to do with adding more girls into it...But I just don't LOVE it the way everyone else seems to...maybe I'm missing something? Who knows?!

Glee wasn't great this week. I am not a huge Michael Jackson fan...so the music side didn't win me over much. I liked the story parts better...which the exception of the 'rumble' with the Dalton boys....sooooo boring.    I liked Rachel's breakdown when she was forced to deal with the fact that her musical career might not be golden....even though we all know it will be. It was nice to see that addressed, because we ARE rooting for Rachel, she is talented and deserves to go far, and it was sad when she thought she might not.  I still find it very far fectched that Quinn got into YALE....but TV has proved that when it comes to College, anything is possible :P
-oh yeah...anyone remember Irish kid?! Where did he go? And bring Idina back!!!

Thursday's TV was interesting. P-Rex did an early Valentine's Day ep, which was adorable, and had plenty of Ann which I loved....the fact that she ended up on a date with Tom at the end I did NOT love... But again...how cute are Ben and Leslie?!
Up All Night was pretty average. Maybe it was because I was very out of it while I was watching it, but I was bored....not sure if this show make it.
30 Rock was also kinda boring...sometimes I don't even know if I REALLY like this show. I like bits of it, but lately it hasn't been winning me over as much.

Grey's was kinda cool this week. I couldn't stop laughing at everyone's wigs and stuff....Pink Meredith was so bright and shiny it was weird...but not as weird as her being called 'Dr Webber'....couldn't wrap my head around that one....Alex might have been my fave...soooo dorky! Everyone else was mixed up and changed slightly....poor Bailey...I love the link between Ellis not being around, and Bailey's confidence and kickass attitude...or lack there of.   Druggie Lexie was cool...(or not)  -I did NOT like the grey scrubs...they were hideodious!
I thought it was a bit harsh saying that Izzie went crazy and shot up the place!...but then maybe alternate Izzie was a BITCH! Poor George, at least he wasn't dead, just failed his intern exam.
Overall the premise started out good, but by the end everyone sorta became who they would have anyways...Addison still ended up with Mark's baby...poor 'real world' Addy...maybe she should try having a baby with Mark again :P; Meredith ended up at bar with Derek, Alex was a douche who was crappy at relationships....btw how weird were he and Mere as a couple?! Lexie's mum was still dead, but Charles wasn't...and all these weird things that by the end kinda cheapened it. But it was great for a laugh...and also the use of retro grey's music was an awesome touch!   -Also nooo Teddy...she was mentioned though...but I expected her to turn up by the end....I mean everyone else did.
Anyways, it was a fun ep of tv, and still way better that almost anything else on tv this week. Grey's you are winning my heart back again!!!!

Private Practice was perhaps one of the most boring eps of the series in a while....I'm sorry, but I LOVED this show last year, and the seasons before that...but this year is just not doing it for me. Every funny and outspoken character has been knocked down and 'evolved' into feeling, nice people. Charlotte has become SO boring...I love her, but she was awesome because she was outspoken, feisty and fun....and now she's just playing mummy to Mason. Amelia is the same, she used to be fun, but now she's so sulky and staying out of peoples way, that I REALLY miss her non-existent ability to filter. Violet and Pete drive me crazy, I liked them as a couple, but now all they do is fight...and I don't care...especially cause their arguments are nonsensical....Pete has become a complete tool, and hypocrite. I also don't care for Violet and her new beau...except for the fact that he was the only one to suggest she move!  Addison wins best character in this weeks ep, mostly for the line "Is it because you've seen my vagina in a medical way?". It was golden. -Also drunk people are funny!

2011 Season Finale Scorecard

Overall I must say nothing was fantastically awesome. There were no HUGE cliffhangers, no screaming at my computer/tv, no rivers of tears, no big deaths or accidents. It was a rather relaxing, almost boring finale season.
I’ve decided to do a little summary of the finales, and rate them on a 1-10 scale - 1 being lame for a season finale (but not necessarily as an ep) and 10 being absolute awesomeness.

These are my shows...in no particular order....

Parenthood – After a big cliffhanger in the pen-ultimate season 2 ep with Amber in the car accident, we spent the finale dealing with Sarah and Amber’s relationship, and wrapping up a few storylines like Jasmine and Crosby. Heading into season 3, we have Joel and Julia wanting to adopt, and a huge bomb drop (that I saw coming for a good deal of the finale), Kristina is pregnant...so that’s gonna get interesting!
Season Finale Rating: 7/10
Season Rating Overall: 8/10 –just as good, if not better than the first season.

Hopes for next season: I hope to see Sarah continue to grow professionally. I hope Amber takes some of what happened to her and moves on in a good direction. –If she is serious about some sort of study, I’d like to see her take classes at community college or something.

30 Rock – TGS is winding down for summer. Liz heads out to the Hamptons for her summer break Tracy’s there to ruin it all. Not a whole lot else happened. Jack turned Kenneth into his wife.... I did like that scene at the end where they all end up in the same place in Central Park. Overall it was lame, boring and not even that funny. But it did have some good guest stars.
Season Finale Rating: 4/10
Season Rating Overall: 7/10 – Much more interesting and funnier than last season.

Hopes for next season: Well you never know where they are going to take this show, but I’d like to see Liz find her way a little more...especially if it ends up being the final season.

Raising Hope – The finale was not my fave ep this season, but it was still good. We flashed back 5 years to an 18yold Jimmy, with a very different look on life. We saw glimpses into the pasts of our other characters too, from Hope’s mother, to a geeky Sabrina who turns out had a crush on Jimmy and never knew it was Jimmy because of the costume! – So I’m looking forward to see where they take these 2 next season. I want them to get together, but at the same time...it’s fun watching him being absolutely hopeless.
Season Finale Rating: 6.5/10

Hopes for next season: I hope they this show stays strong in its second season, some shows don’t. I’d like to see Sabrina and Jimmy together...but then it might ruin it, so maybe not. I also hope they bring Shelley back – I like the singing!

Community – I liked the first part of the 2 part finale better, but the 2nd half and actual final episode of season 2 was excellent. Paintball continued - changing themes to Star Wars and the gang were able to score the win for Greendale with Pierce saving the day. Best part was that Chang didn’t speak in the ep! No idea where we are headed next season, but I’ve learned to expect everything and nothing from Community!
Season Finale Rating: 8/10
Season Rating Overall: 7/10 –Still strong this season, although some eps really sucked, but the great ones made up for them.

Hopes for next season: My only wish for this show is that it can keep up the good episodes, and limit the bad or boring. I also hope for less Chang – but I doubt that’ll happen. Bring back Troy and Abed in the morning – that was great, or at least other stuff with Troy and Abed.

Parks and Recreation – Not a fantastic finale, but entertaining enough. Comedy shows these days don’t seem to do anything huge for finales –or maybe it is just that they don’t know they if they are coming back next season. I liked the final ep of season 3. The Lil Sebastian funeral was weird and funny. I liked the lead in for a potential new job for Leslie and also the introduction of Ron’s first wife who I’m very much looking forward to see who is going to play her.
Season Finale Rating: 7/10
Season Rating Overall: 7/10 –Not as strong as season 2, still strong though - just needs to figure out how to keep Chris interesting.
Hopes for next season: I hope they do something more interesting with Rob Lowe’s character...he’s not my fave, and tends to get boring at times. Maybe get Chris and Anne back together. I also hope that Leslie and Ben don’t get annoying. I think they are cute, but in a show like this it could get really annoying really quickly!

Grey’s Anatomy – Overall kind of boring. Last season was awesome, but huge and not possible to top, so I wasn’t expecting that much. They announced that April was Chief Resident, and Teddy and that guy (Scott Foley) became an actual couple – not that I cared one inch about that storyline...I thought they’d kill him or something. Oh yeah, and BIG news - Christina is pregnant, and she's not interested in having kids! And they split up the main couples, so I guess we’ll see if they get come back together, or split for good.
Season Finale Rating: 5/10
Season Rating Overall: 7/10 –Had some low points, but still a great season.

Hopes for next season: Part of me hopes Christina sticks to her guns –I don’t see her with a baby at all. I also don’t really care about her and Owen either. I hope Meredith and Derek can work things out – but it Patrick Dempsey is leaving after season 8, I hope they handle things well. I’m still torn over whether I can accept Grey’s Anatomy without Ellen Pompeo if she decides to leave too. I don’t like Lexie enough or thing she has enough depth to serve as the title character. But at the same time, I don’t want to say goodbye to Arizona or Mark or others. –Although Mark should totally go to LA :P
I’d also like to see Alex get it together again. I am sick of him going from jerk to good guy and back again. I like him a lot when he’s decent. I also hope he and Meredith can become friends again.

Private Practice – Overall probably one of the better season finales of the group – if only for the cliffhanger ending! Poor Pete! Also they said goodbye to Naomi and created lead ins for next season. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes next season, whether they will change the office/s or just the general organization and name. However, this is the least stressful season finale this show has had (season 1 doesn’t count), the last 2 seasons had majorly sad and stressful finales.
Season Finale Rating: 8/10
Season Rating Overall: 8.5/10 –This has been probably the best season of the PPP so far. They brought out all the stops and had very few filler eps. Let’s hope next season can be just as awesome!

Hopes for next Season: I hope to see Amelia come through her troubles (but I’m assuming not before some serious damage). I also hope Addison takes notice of Amelia’s troubles. I hope to see Amelia get her own life and own place. I hope to see Sheldon get a life too! Charlotte and Cooper will always need some kind of drama – maybe a new place and/or more kid discussion. As for the practice itself, I’m looking forward to seeing where this new regroup takes them all –but I hope not too much changes. I also hope Benjamin Bratt’s character is likeable, and does not take over too much from our other characters, some don’t get enough attention as it is!

Glee –Big New York episode with the gang in town for Nationals....however this show has thrown all rationality out the window, and had the gang still writing their own songs the day before the competition – hard to respect them, or want them to win when they don’t really try. Of course they didn’t win, but they had some good times. Hard to knock the ep, just on the fact that Rachel and Kurt sang ‘For Good’ from Wicked ON the Wicked stage at the Gershwin Theater! Won points for not letting the guest stars take over, but lost points for not letting Mercedes sing EVER, and not making me care if they won or not.
Season Finale Rating: 7/10
Season Rating Overall: 6/10 – Sorry Glee, but you’re quickly starting to lose my respect and adoration. I still will keep watching for a while, but I’m just not feeling the magic that those early season 1 episodes had. Bring back the smart, and use your talent!

Hopes for next season:  I hope they figure out the balance of actors better. I hope that Mercedes and Puck get far better treatment, and that attempt to bring back the smart and dark quality it had in season 1. But I fear it has gone too far into teenland to be what I want it to be.

Modern Family – Kinda boring in my opinion. Jay had a birthday, everyone was organizing their presents...blah blah blah. It wasn’t even that funny for a regular ep –let alone a finale, very disappointing!
Season Finale Rating: 3/10
Season Rating Overall: 7/10 –Good season, nothing huge stood out for me this season though.

Hopes for Next Season: I hope they can keep this show fresh, and keep up the comedy. They’ve done well so far. I’m hoping for great comedy from Luke, Gloria, and Phil!

The Good Wife –Probably one of the better finales this year. Alicia and Peter are split – loving it! Alicia and Will are finally trying things out – LOVING it! The case was semi interesting, and we’re leading into next season with Peter back as States Attorney  - so its going to be really interesting to see how that works with him against Alicia in court!
Season Finale Rating: 8.5/10
Season Rating Overall: 8/10 –I think I actually enjoyed this season better than last! I liked having less Peter, and the stuff with the firm was awesome!

Hopes for Next Season: I hope that they make me like Kalinda again...she was getting annoying by the end of the season. I liked her better before all her past came out. But I loved the stuff with Bond and the others at Lockhart Gardner. That takeover was pretty cool! I hope they keep that stuff interesting next season...and as usual I hope that Diane gets a few more comedic moments, because Christine Baranski is SO funny! As for Alicia and Will...well time will tell how that’s gonna work out next season!

Brothers and Sisters – Well it’s a little unfair to rate this one against the others, as it turned out this was the last episode of Brothers & Sisters we will ever get. But it served its purpose. Sarah’s wedding was fun. Tommy showed up, as did Paige and Cooper. Sarah made peace with Brody, and Nora closed the episode talking about family. While there were many loose ends left behind, it still left me feeling satisfied with its ending – as one can when the writers didn’t know it was ending. While this was one show I was okay with letting go, I imagine come September, I’ll still be expecting it to start up again. I hope the cast can find good projects to move on with in the not too far off future.
Season Finale Rating: 8.5/10
Series Finale Rating: Hard to rate, not one of the best finales ever, but a lot better than some of my other shows that have gone off the air! But I’d give it a 6.5-7/10.
Season Rating Overall: 5/10 Sadly, I did not really enjoy this season. I didn’t love last season either. One reason I’m glad that this series came to a close – it was turning way too much into a soap opera...and it was walking at thin line from the beginning. –I miss Tom Skerritt! I will miss Sally Field on my tv each week though!

So that was last season, can’t wait to see what the new season will bring. New cast members, new sets, and who knows what people will do to their hair over the summer – long, short, different colored, who got a good tan –its always fun to see how relaxed and rested everybody looks those first few eps back!

More importantly, hopefully I won’t have to say goodbye to any more shows for a while. It was a good year, not a great year of TV, and hopefully next year will be just as good, if not better!
Till then, I’ve got my summer shows to tie me over, and then there are my many dvds. I might have to pull out one of the classics for a re-watch – especially if I don’t get a job anytime soon!

More Finales, and a Little Fun

So I spent the start of the week catching up with last week's shows. And then there we said goodbye to Glee and Modern Family for this season.

Just when you think you know what is going on with United States of Tara...a whole new twist comes along! Geez! Looking forward to seeing where they take this brother other...is mighty disturbing. –Poor Chicken!
I'm sad that it has been cancelled and won't get a 4th season, I hope they ended it without cliffhangers and such.
Now onto In Plain Sight:
LOVE this show. Last week’s ep (ep 3) was awesome! I loved all the references to The Princess Bride. I LOVE that movie to death! Haven’t watched it in a while, I’ll try to find time this week to do so.  The refs to Casablanca were funny too. I have never seen Broadcast News so I didn’t get those refs.
Great ep, very funny –especially Marshall eating candy while watching the ‘movie’ at the end was adorably hilarious! But my god could this storyline have paralleled Mary and Marshall anymore?! I wonder if they are ever gonna hook up Mary and Marshall?
-Rachel Boston’s character isn’t annoying me anymore. I don’t hate her, I just got sick of her being everywhere at once back in the day.

So since most other things I watch have finished up for the season, I thought I’d use this opportunity to get up to date with In Plain Sight and get this week's ep. Its my fave early week show.
But OMG, Weddingpalooza just never ends!  But yay for more Josh Malina!...did he even speak though?!
-The stuff about 24 was hilarious! As was Stan’s working people throughout Albuquerque in order to kept that women from being discovered.
-I want to hate Marshall and Abigail as a couple....but I kinda can’t.

Now onto the big Glee Finale: New York Style.
So overall I was kind of sucked into the glory that is New York City and what wonderful moments this episode had. But while I haven’t enjoyed Glee as much in a long time, I acknowledge that there were many flaws with this finale.

-Firstly, I LOVED that Kurt and Rachel snuck into the Gershwin Theater and sang ‘For Good’ on the Wicked stage. I could not have squealed or giggled more...I may have even gotten a little teary. But then again, ‘For Good’ always makes me cry! I loved the love letter Glee has going with Wicked. I loved that Kurt was Glinda, and Rachel was Elphie –naturally. That was just simple, beautiful, and also a big moment for Glee.
-I like that Rachel and Kurt realized their futures are in NY. I like that Rachel admits she’d have to choose NY/career over love/Finn if it came to it. –As it should be, but I like that she realized that.
-I loved the little Patti Lupone cameo.
-Liked Quinn’s haircut.
-I liked that the guest stars didn’t take over, they did their little cameos and were done. Even Jesse was not annoying me and taking the spotlight.
-Fave songs were For Good, My Cup, and Light Up The World. The others were nothing special.

Now...What I didn’t like:
-I hated that they went to NY without anything prepared. They hadn’t even written their songs with mere days to go –they didn’t deserve to win! And I didn’t like the Finn/Rachel duet –which I thought they weren’t doing solos only group numbers...I guess duets don’t count. I did like the group number – however, I can’t believe Mercedes didn’t get a part! What does that girl have to do to get to participate?! Maybe if they let her sing lead they might win. I can’t believe Brittany got to sing way more than Mercedes.  Also is Puck ever gonna get his edge back?
-New York looked kinda empty...there were obvious scenes were there was nobody around –like at the TKTS booth in Times Square –that was always packed with people when I was there. -They needed extras! And also if you were looking for it, you could see dozens of people standing behind barriers in the background of some scenes.
-I hated the Belle Notre thing...it was stupid.
-I hated that Emma showed up but didn’t say anything... at least Sue didn’t even show up!
-I hated that Will decided not to go on Broadway...the kids were going on summer break, he was out of a job till next year anyways! That part was just super dooper lame!

I guess I disliked a lot more than I liked, but I still enjoyed this ep. But they have to do something with Mercedes already, and not just make her and Sam a couple - although I don't hate that.

Lastly, Modern Family had their finale tonight, and overall it was really boring. They were all mixed up with other family members, doing things for Jay’s birthday. But I just found that the ep fell flat. I’m a little disappointed, I’ve come to expect far better from this show!

So that's it, all my regular season shows have wrapped up. I haven't caught up on Cougar Town yet, but I'll get there. The Good Wife had a pretty good ending too in my book! Looking forward to where the take that next season.

New Stuff - YAY!!!!

Finally caught up with all of last week's stuff, I was able to enjoy some new episodes of my shows this week!

I actually enjoyed this week’s episode of GLEE, despite hardly any Emma...they have really ruined her character/storyline. She used to be funnier too! I also liked it in spite of Jesse St. James. I did like the silly like about Jesse St. Jerk though. And he’s not annoying in a terrible way either I guess. I did find him entertaining – the judging stuff was silly, but kind of funny.

I loved the songs they did, well maybe not LOVE, but I really really liked them. I loved that they did ‘Pure Imagination’ from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I love that song. The whole Sue’s sister storyline was okay, not great, but okay. Sue has really been destroyed as a character too.
I also found myself liking Terri...so maybe I’m just really off this week!

The auditions thing was kinda great and stupid at the same time! Firstly, it seems wrong that they are so unprepared one...count it people, one week away from Nationals. Seems like they should have been set and practicing by now! I did like the auditions though. I liked that the real competition fought it out. It was great to get to hear Mercedes sing – she never gets much of a shot on this show. Didn’t like Santana’s song – but that’s cause Amy Winehouse isn’t really my style. But I loved the other three. I love all the songs from Gypsy, but I didn’t remember that song from Funny Girl...but I liked it –Rachel does know how to really do a Barbara number!

Raising Hope ended their first season this week too. They did a cool little flashback that showed what Jimmy was like 5 years earlier. It was hilarious to see him in that weird-ass makeup and outfit! Little Sabrina was adorable with her braces, and Shelly and Mike made appearances too.
I’m so glad that they got picked up for season 2. I love this show.

Modern Family was good this week too. It was nice to have some quality Alex time. She never gets much to do. Jay having botox was kinda funny, but not as funny as Cam falling into the pool and running into the door!!!!! –But does that little girl(s) that play Lily ever smile?! I don’t think I’ve ever seen them make an expression!

I’ve finally got around to catching up on The Good Wife this week. I watched 3 episodes tonight, and will watch this week’s season finale on the weekend. It was weird having Martha Plimpton’s character pop up again, but I do love her character. She’s a lot of fun. Then in the next ep I watched – Mamie Gummer (of Off The Map) made her 3rd appearance on The Good Wife. I adore her character. She’s so funny and really plays with the other characters. I hope they bring her back next season...seeing as she’s not busy anymore. –Still a little sore that Off The Map is not coming back next season, but I’m sure I’ll get over it. There’s a lot of new stuff to get into next season by the looks of things!!!

The finales of Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Parks and Recreation are on tomorrow. Its gonna be sad to see them go, but hopefully not as traumatic as last year!

Nothing Special

Written during the week, but was unable to post it till now due to super slow internet connection.

Harry's Law Finale: This show never really made me fall in love with it. I like it, enough. The problem is none of the main characters are overly likeable…and not a single one that I’m connected to. None of the cast are overly interesting either. I think it definitely got better in the last few eps of the season, but I don’t know if I want to keep watching it if it gets picked up for a second season. Maybe if there is nothing else to watch.
However I was glad that Adam and that girl got together, but it was odd to have Paul McCrane from ER singing...

The Good Wife is still great. Its not an overly fun show, but I really like it. Its not the kind I’d go back and watch a lot, or probably even buy the dvds, but I love it. I find myself loving all the Eli Gold stuff…I don’t care about Peter and the election, but Eli is fun. Not sure what Cary is up to, he’s all over the place. Kalinda is in hot water, and that’s an interesting spin. Alicia isn’t my fave character, but I like her when she’s working on case. They’ve had some good cases this season. It will be interesting to see how they end the season.

This week I haven’t been able to watch a single thing new…or even at all really. Our internet usage is up, so I can’t download anything new…and I’m DYING! I never realized how much I NEEDED to watch Parenthood. Brothers & Sisters I’m used to waiting for, but I’m trying in vain to get that this week…3 days and its only 50%...I’ll leave it going tomorrow, and maybe it will be done by Friday. I was going to spend the week re-watching stuff off my external hard drive…but that seems to have died on me too! I managed to get the first 4 eps of Raising Hope off it, before I stopped working properly..so at least I had those to watch.

I guess at least I’ll have plenty to watch over the weekend, with Parenthood, Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara, P-Rex, Community, 30 Rock, Modern Family, and new The Good Wife I guess… At least that’s something to look forward to! But till then I’m kinda in hell. I can barely check twitter…and download the great pics that are coming from the final filming days of season 4 on the PPP!

Slow TV Week Again

So there isn't much on this week at all. But Parenthood was on! Yay! Its back, and I love it!

Firstly, Lauren Graham had her voice back…
Secondly, what did Erika do to her arm?! -It was like Stockard Channing in the wheelchair in TWW!

Okay now for the real stuff….
Didn’t ‘HATE’ the prom stuff…Haddie isn’t that annoying in small doses and when she’s happy. Sarah and Gilliam are entertaining. That guy reminds me of Rumplestiltskin though…sorry Richard Dreyfus…but you do…I think it’s the cane.

Poor Julia, I wonder which alternative they will take…maybe they’ll adopt a kid. Poor Sydney, being forced to do everything with her mum is never that fun, but just wait till she’s a teen! Hah!
One more ‘Poor…’ is necessary. Poor Amber…I’m a little worried about where she’s gonna end up…

Yay for Adam turning up at Crosby’s ‘house’…I love when the siblings get together.

Ok…Where IS Drew?! Two whole eps without him…I feel bad that they always go on about Sarah and Amber’s relationship….but completely forget about Drew altogether! They didn’t mention him or anything. Poor Miles. (sorry…needed another one). He hardly ever gets any screen time. Jabbar and Jasmine not being there makes sense, and they were there last week. If Drew is not even mentioned in the next ep I’m gonna be mad!

The finale of Mr Sunshine was fun. Okay, even though Lizzy Caplan is too young for Matthew Perry, their characters were adorable together!
A reference to Benjamin Bratt was entertaining and freaky since he’s going to join the cast of the PPP next season…
Overall it was a good ep, but what a crappy ending….I really don’t like Alonzo.

Last week's ep of the Good Wife was a great one. The stuff with Kalinda is getting tricky! Knew the friendship between Kalinda and Alicia couldn't last forever. I like that Cary has become a good guy.

The Good Wife and Other Stories

This weeks ep of The Good Wife was awesome! I am really loving the show this year. Rita Wilson was back - which is awesome enough, but the whole equity partners vote was a GREAT storyline. Lots of great Diane and Will stuff. Those two are fun together.
Oh and I was not expecting that from Cary! Then I suppose I should have seen it coming. But I was surprised by him kissing Kalinda, not sure what to make of it. Maybe he's playing her, maybe its something else. -I guess we'll find out.
I must also say, while I don't care for the whole Peter/politics storyline, I do love Mr Gold. He's entertaining, and I did like the little bit of politics that were included this week. -Nobody wants Childs in charge.

Modern Family -
This week I actually enjoyed the Cam and Mitch stuff. The adoption stuff was fun. Phil at the spa was funny. Claire wasn't that interesting this week. No Luke was a pity, he's hilarious. Gloria and Jay's fight over the crypt wasn't terrible either.

Mr Sunshine - Yo Yo Ma!!!! Awww I miss The West Wing.
I actually liked this weeks ep. Definitely better than last weeks. I was glad to Jorge Garcia back. He's fun. I liked the Ben getting to know people stuff. Its still not great, but its okay.
But why must Andrea Anders character Alice come to work dressed like that?! Seriously, does she turn tricks at night? Okay maybe its not THAT bad...but its not very professional...even in that sort of environment.
-I worry that Roman is growing on me. I don't think that's a good sign!

I've still got a whole disk of Damages season 2 left. But I did watch another ep of Cougar Town - I've not seen the first 5 of this season. Its sorta my filler show, when I don't feel like concentrating or need something to watch for 20 minutes.

Parenthood and Raising Hope

Its a quiet week for tv. Today there was no new Glee, but there was Parenthood, Raising Hope, and The Good Wife. My internet was playing up, so while I was waiting for new stuff I watched last week's ep of Harry's Law.
I actually really enjoyed the ep. Its definitely not the most interesting show, but I found that ep to be less boring than others. I like that chick Jordana Spiro plays. I also liked the gang storyline. But Brittany Snow's character Jenna is becoming pointless and stupid! While I did laugh at her making name tags for the bangers, she doesn't do much of anything.

Parenthood was really good this week. It was cute. I actually "yay"-ed out loud when Jason Ritter popped up. I was so excited to have him back, even if only for 1 ep. Everyone's writing books...its cool that Sarah's is better as a play!
I loved all the Kristina, Adam and Max stuff. It was cool to see Kristina and Adam deal with telling Max he has Aspergers. Good acting all over this ep!
It was nice to have some Julia and Joel. Not to mention a few minutes of Sydney and Jabbar!
Stupid Crosby for starting a fight with the boat people! Wish I cared more about the Crosby and Jasmine stuff.
Also, not sure what to make of costume choices in this ep. Sarah's clothes were a little....anyways....but Julia looked hot in her dress!'
Oh and on the cast attendance checklist for this week, we were missing - Drew, Amber, and Haddie. Which isn't bad. At least the grown-ups showed up.

Raising Hope was good, not great. I dunno if the show is losing the spark it had the earlier eps, or that it was more fun to watch a few eps at once...but that said, I am still loving it. Bert cracks me up. I love Sabrina. Hope is adorable! Its quirky and makes me laugh. Definitely not quiting this one yet.

I'll watch The Good Wife tomorrow, and whatever else is on, or around.

Catch Me Up Television

Brothers & Sisters - I really enjoyed the ep...even though Kitty is STILL MIA! But apparently she'll be in the next ep, so that makes me happy. -Can't find any explanation for why Calista was away.
I liked Brody. He was kinda fun, I hope they bring him back. Looks like they're sending Tommy away again though...I guess he was just filler till Kitty came back. :(
Justin going crazy about what was in the muffins after they were baked with the flour formerly known as "Joaquin" was too cute and funny.
-While I missed Scotty...and Saul, the best part was no Luc!

Parks and Rex - Nice ep. Andy and April are so cute, I'm glad they are back together. Take out Tom and it would have been great. But it was nice to see Ben out and about.

Community - Kinda boring this week, 'cept for the whole secret service chick and Abed thing. Abed is way more entertaining than anyone else. Oh and Jeff's Real World Seattle audition was TOO hilarious!

30 Rock - SOOOO much better without Tracey Jordan! But I didn't love the whole Abby storyline...she was WEIRD.

Modern Family - Sorry Cam and Mitch, but your storylines are always boring, but Luke was entertaining. I loved Gloria cutting Phil's hair (love the air bunnies)and 'singing' karaoke...and the fight between Phil and Claire and he had no idea! Gold.

Private Practice - This ep was crazy in the best possible way! While it was a little strange not having Addison there, it didn't leave any great hole in the story - that cast is amazing! Plus call backs everywhere!
I swear this ep would have made a great 100th ep (for next season, or the one after) if it wasn't for Addy not being there!
-The refs to the size of Sheldon's manhood (by gesture), Amelia's filtering, Sam's book, the custody case over Lucas, Naomi pushing Maya to have an abortion, refs to old eps/cases, running issues - like the Violet/Cooper/Charlotte who knows who better triangle,
-oh and in case you hadn't watched the first 3 seasons of the PPP, Charlotte and Cooper's story in a nutshell was in there too. -sans dead daddy.

And poor Coop, he's not really a "man-child". Well in some ways he kinda is, but he's always been a lot more a grown up than most of the others. And for a guy who started out as the guy who dates dozens of women he meets in chat rooms, he's been more monogamous than...Violet, Addison, Pete, and Naomi  and Sam!!!! - I mean come on! They have no excuse! Bad Sam. Very bad Sam! -That might finally break up the AddiSam...but I never wanted them to hate each other.
-I was glad to see an explanation for Charlotte's missing ring...but seeing as she was wearing it in Connecticut, who knows...maybe she wore it to keep Archer away...anyways, it was nice to have a very reasonable explanation.
Poor Charlotte....I think her potential friendship with Amelia is kinda doomed, but maybe they'll get over it. -Charlotte needs a friend...other than Sheldon.

Grey's Anatomy - Apparently it was a physical comedy ep....Meredith squinting the whole ep was very amusing! As was the 9inches estimation between Callie and the OB...shameful that the OB didn't know how wide 9inches was.....
Other Good bits -THE HOUSE! Its actually being mentioned, built...love it! Meredith giving herself an eye exam and Alex offering to do work on her face to counteract the effects of her squinting. Mer and Christina discussing the grossness of leaving toothpaste in the sink. Mer getting excited over her patient getting the real meds, and not the placebo - very cute.
Bad bits - Stark asking out April....and her saying YES! WTF?! She's like 12 and he could be her father! Christina and Owen having the kids argument...soooo not caring.

-Lexie and Avery...not sure if I like it or not. I'm going with liking it for now. They both need to move on and do something! They got boring...mostly Avery....
-Where do their golf balls go when they play golf of the roof?! Doesn't seem safe....
Adele's memory/stability issues is interesting. I'm guessing that will be their arc leading up to some kind of thing for the finale. And I am SO over fertility issues...the next couple that has fertility issues on tv is really really gonna piss me off! -Well I'll be mad at the writers, not the characters themselves obviously.

Off The Map - Oh its getting good. The characters that used to really bug me, are now starting to become the most interesting. I like Ryan a lot now. Charlie's place is awesome...wonder how long before they all start hanging out there?

A lot of shows are on break this week. Which makes me glad that the eps were generally really good this week. Good enough to get me through. I think Parenthood, Raising Hope, and The Good Wife are on. At least that's something. In the meantime, I've got a few things still to watch. Plus I'm almost half way through season 2 of Damages and loving it!

Wednesday Night TV...On Thursday

So for some reason the shows I wanted were taking a really long time to download yesterday, so I had to wait till today (Thursday) to watch Parenthood and The Good Wife.

Parenthood was a good ep. Watching them deal with the aftermath of Crosby sleeping with Gaby. -Especially after she felt she had to quit being Max's aid. Which was really really sad. Kristina and Adam have a right to be angry...but its really a huge mess.
On the plus side -Yay Jabbar was back!...for 2 seconds.
I loved the Sydney storyline...loved the staring down between her and Zeek. Kids wanting to be vegetarians is always quality.
I also LOVED the Sarah stuff...it was nice to see Amber express her feelings to Seth. And it was good to see Sarah make him responisble for saying goodbye himself. Gotta love more Amber singing too!

The Good Wife was not as fun as last weeks ep, but still pretty good. Although it needed more Will.
The Mr Gould stuff was kinda cute and fun. America Ferrer was good in the ep.
Wish I cared more about the Diane and balistics guy, but he's annoying...

So I'm now all caught up on Wednesday's tv, but other things will have to wait till tomorrow or later.

The Good Wife

So I've been a few eps behind with The Good Wife, mostly because its not my fave show, and since no one else watches except my mother, there is no pressure to keep up to date.
But that said, I do actually really enjoy the show when I watch it. -Ep 14 was GOOD! The last few have been pretty good too, but ep 14 was fun.

I really don't care about Peter and the whole political side of things...I prefer the Lockhart/Gardner stuff. All the mystery surrounding those people is kinda interesting and intriguing.
This weeks ep was fun, with Alicia out of town with her brother - road trips are ALWAYS fun. Which also evolved the Alicia/Will story a little more. Her on the car was a hilarious sight.
I really loved that Will and Diane got some quality time together -they are great fun to watch. Plus Rita Wilson was a good addition to the ep.

Still not sure about what's going on with Kalinda and Blake...but its getting kinda interesting which is always good.
Looking forward to the rest of the season...who knows where it will go! - Hopefully they won't spend TOO much time on the politics...but I'm sure they will.

Don't Ever Leave Me Again!

So last week there was pretty much no new tv, other than the thursday night shows, and the mid season shows.
P-Rex was great. Hilarious even....but Rob Lowe's character is still annoying. 30 Rock wasn't bad either. -Loving that I am finally caught up on that now...although more pressure to keep up.
Community was good at first but got weird halfway through. Still not sure about Off The Map...its too 'over the top' in terms of cases, its always something super dramatic...and that music is starting to bug me too - its SO depressing. None of the characters are that thrilling either...its just lacking something.
Harry's Law oddly enough is actually still kinda good. Its a little quirky...I've missed that -David E Kelly is back on the job.

A few shows are back this week, the rest come back next week.
Parenthood was good in bits and pieces tonight....Adam getting stoned was AWESOME! I love it when those guys dance! -Fave line "My crotch is vibrating" when Adam's phone rang... Peter Krause rocks my socks. He's hilarious! He's so much more fun in comedys than the serious serious drama that was Six Feet Under (as awesome a show it was...).
-Haddie is such a pain in the neck though, poor Jabbar, Sydney and Drew got no screen time!

The Good Wife was back this week too, but I'll get that later, I'm saving room for other things for now.

Super excited for the PPP to be back finally! - Its been extra annoying cause it was supposed to be on a few weeks ago, but bumped for a repeat of the pilot of Off The Map. So I've been looking forward to this ep for a LONG time.
It will be good to have Grey's back too....but I'm not nearly half as excited for that show as I used to be.

In DVD news...I finished season 2 of Private Practice on Friday morning, having only the finale left. I watched the special features friday night. I remembered so much of the 2nd half of the season, but its weird how little I remembered from the first half. At least the finale wasn't nearly as stressfull this time around. I remember tears flowing, and jumping around, not being able to sit still when Katie attacked Violet.
I must say I love the good Charlotte/Violet scenes in season 2. (and 3 too). They are always fun. I hope we get some more in the future. They really have no choice but to be friends...or its gonna be a world of trouble for Coop!

I've also watched the Brothers & Sisters commentaries from season 2, and will get to the season 3 ones soon.
I also am finally getting back to Damages season 1. Its less fun the 2nd time around, knowing what happens and all, but I want to rewatch it before season 2. -Plus its fun to pick out locations I know in New York.
When I'm done with that I'll start ER, or Grey's...depending on what I feel like. It might be a little too much John Stamos, between Full House, Glee and ER...hmm.

TV is BACK!!!!!!

So the Christmas/New Years tv break is over and new episodes started back this week for many of my fave shows.

Brothers & Sisters - It was really weird to watch a new ep of season 5, after starting from season 1 since the break in December. Being currently watching season 3, it took me a few minutes to remember what the heck was going on. -Firstly, when did Justin become a paramedic for reals? Did I just block that part of previous eps, or have they again skipped ahead?
This is the only ABC show I watch that has not been renewed for next season yet. I'm not sure if they will, or should get one. I mean it was a great show in the early seasons, but last season made no sense. This season they seem to have gotten back on track, but I don't know if they have enough material for season 6.  I just hope they get a chance to wrap it up, whenever it ends. I really do love the show and the characters, and would hate for it to not get a proper ending...like so many of my others shows have in the past.

Parenthood - I hate that I forget how much I love that show when its not on. I really love it, but its not the kind I obsess over for days...like some others.
I must say though, the scene with Sarah and the kids in the car made me stressed out. I think Lauren Graham needs to work on watching the road in driving scenes...I was worried they'd have an accident!
Sarah and Julia's girls night was hilariously bad....so much potential, nooooo payoff. Hopefully they will get better at it!

Modern Family - Quality as always. Great Luke stuff, which is always gold. The other stories were slightly annoying, James Marsden's character was kinda a pain.

Grey's Anatomy - Last weeks shooting episode was very well done. It was great to see the characters deal with it after their own trauma. As much as I'm not a Christina fan, I was really glad to see her back in the OR. I was also glad to see her and Meredith reunite, I do love their crazy friendship. I think they need to focus on Meredith's story a little more. These days she seems like a background character...
The Arizona and Callie stuff was great. I loved Arizona getting to come back...under Stark. I hope they can sort their crap out, but I'm starting to not care. They have broken up and got back together so many times, I don't even know if its worth it anymore.

Private Practice - Saving the best till last.
Sooooo excited to have the show back, and it didn't disappoint! Its so great to see Charlotte and Cooper dealing with things and moving on with their lives, in a very sweet way. But seriously could they be any cuter?! The whole chicken thing was adorable...the cheers with the chicken!...the choking on the chicken...
But why do Charlotte and Cooper walk into the downstairs offices like ...in Cooper's case, a superhero....they definitely make an entrance.
Violet was totally adorable with her book, telling Naomi! I loved the hiding outside the office while Naomi and Sheldon were reading, and Cooper wanting to be her Roadie/Nanny, and Sheldon wanting to hear Oprah say his name.
I kinda don't care about Addison and her mother...I did like the scene at the end with the girls talking about their mums though. I'd sorta forgotten that Amelia would know Busy...

Highlights/Points of Interest
-Loved Amelia's quote about herself being "kinda a whore..." You can always count on Amelia to make you laugh.
-2nd fave quote "aww you could kiss me right now couldn't you?" -totally awwww worthy.
-What is with everyone writing books? I'm watching old Brothers & Sisters with Kitty writing the book.
-Violet's jumping up and down and "yay"-ing was adorable!
-Naomi is back and is a lot more fun, and interesting now. Love it!
-I guess its a season of Weddings on the PPP.
-This ep was weird in that I don't think there was a ever a scene with more than 3 of the main characters together.
-Loved Charlotte talking to Naomi and Violet about her issues. I like that she's reaching out, and thanking Violet...good progress.
-Now I know I pick up on set things, and props more than most people....but what happened to Charlotte's engagement ring? She had it in the hospital, and now her finger is naked. I hope its a props/costume error, and I hope they fix it soon! -Its bugging me, and I can't seem to let it go.

Still got 1 ep to catch up on The Good Wife, new eps of that start this week. Other stuff starts up later this month. -Really looking forward to Off The Map, the new Shonda show with Caroline Dahavenas and Mamie Gummer.

The Emmys - Part 1

Ok so the Emmys were monday....I had to work so I couldn't watch them till later, and due to a technical mishap, I had to download the awards part. So I watched the abridged version on channel 10.....and am catching up on the bits I missed.

I'll comment on the red carpet and best/worst dressed later, but for now I've got comments on the awards part.

There were SO many people I liked up for the same awards it was hard not to be pretty happy with the result.
-I was happy for Jane Lynch. She ROCKS. But I would have loved for Kristen Wiig to get an emmy....but I have a feeling they are never gonna give out awards for SNL unless for hosting.
-Yay for Edie Falco! I mean....I would have loved Lea Michele or the others to win....but I love Nurse Jackie too.
-I really wanted Elisabeth Moss to win best supporting actress drama....But if someone else had to win, I'm glad I was Archie Panjabi from The Good Wife. -And how IS Rose Burne only a supporting actress for Damages?
-really thought Julianna Margulies would win for The Good Wife....I wasn't so fussed about the rest.
-yay for Mad Men and Modern Family winning! I had this feeling all day that Mad Men would win....I love Glee, but it kinda lost something in those last 9 eps...I hope it finds it again in season 2. (Not that those eps were not awesome).

Lauren Graham and Matthew Perry presenting award together was both SO cute....and also terrible. Bad jokes, bad jokes. But it was nice to see them together again, since they are friendly....

Loved the Modern Family with George Clooney thing! I just love him!

Julianna Margulies and Jimmy Fallon did a really bad fake-slap 1st go....2nd go was spot on.

Overall I thought Jimmy Fallon was a great host. Lots of musical stuff too!
I think its gonna be hard to get "The island it was mystical, but in the end they died....I didn't understand it, but I tried!" out of my head anytime soon!

Oh and it now feels sad to me, that after all the nominations the cast of The West Wing got over the years....that none of them are even anywhere near the emmys anymore....Matt Perry and Connie Britton representing....

Oh and one thing that really annoyed me...was the "coming up in...." warnings across the screen.....we don't need warnings all the time!

More to come.

Too Many Finales, Not Enough Time!

There were some serious stuff going on in the finales of my many shows this year, and LOST and Grey's Anatomy took a lot of time to comment on, that I haven't had time to comment on the others, who are just as equally worthy of my comment :)

So we have Private Practice....and poor poor Dell. I kinda knew it was coming and all, but they all sort of forgot about him, all day. I'm glad Maya is okay, happy that Violet and Pete are working things out, estatic that Charlotte and Cooper are back together,  and I guess I should be glad that they gave Chris Lowell a proper exit from the show. He's been left out a lot this season, and honestly sometimes I completely forgot about him...I was never a huge Dell fan, liked him a lot, but not loved. -I still like him better than Naomi, so that should count for something :P

But what makes it sadder is that everyone sorta ignored him all day, and obviously didn't make sure he had the best care, I know it was all about Maya...but still...
What makes me feel extra bad is how they have completely orphaned poor Betsey! In almost the one year she lost her mother, wasn't allowed to say goodbye, and then loses her dad....SAD!

Then there was Brothers & Sisters....I had no idea what was going on in that ep, all sorts of things were happening. I knew the last 10 minutes were big, but had no idea what was going come of it - only that Rob Lowe was leaving, and therefore Robert McCallister was most likely a gonner!
So I was all weirded out by the Saul and AIDS stuff....another thing that makes me KNOW they are just making up half this stuff as they go...there is very little forward planning to this series. Then there was stuff going on with Robert and the Government....and telling Justin secrets, or not telling him...
Then there's Ojay being gone, and once again going on about Narrow Lake and how it COULD have potential....that they just haven't found yet.
So they all go for dinner at the old Ojay house....why exactly I'm not sure....Scotty and Saul are opening a restaurant...sounds cool that part - but we'll see what comes of that. Robert collapses, and goes to hospital....I'm thinking is that it!? But nope, he's okay, and they go back to the house. Then there's a call from Narrow Lake, they've found a huge underground water reserve.....which they dance in -gotta admit that looked silly and fun at the same time.
-So we end with them all driving away from Ojay, and Justin and Rebecca are the last to leave....and come across the whole rest of the family (and some other people I believe) involved in a major car accident, involving a huge truck....which we are assuming hit Robert and Kitty, and everyone else then crashed as a result. Everyone is injured to various degrees, Saul is bleeding and won't let anyone touch him because now he has discovered he has aids, Holly is hurt pretty bad, and poor Robert dies of his injuries.
So even though I knew he was leaving, they way they did it was excellent and truely tearjerking! I was bawling! I mean besides killing off one of my faves, they injured everyone else pretty much...and thats a lot to take in in a short amount of time. Rob Lowe we will miss you greatly on Brothers & Sisters!!!!
-I also hope the show runners get it together next season and find a game plan to stick to....this season was all kinds of chaos.....anyone remember Ryan?.....Can anyone say, HUGE WASTE OF TIME?!

Moving on......The Good Wife ended with a nice little friendly cliffhanger - no deaths, or explosions or anything dangerous....just a nice little who will Alicia choose, her husband Peter or Will? Personally, I don't really have favorite choice at the moment.....but if she doesn't choose Peter, Chris Noth won't be in it much next season...and that would suck.
-Oh and it was nice to have Amy Acker in a little cameo, since her husband plays that cop Kalinda is hanging around....although not really up to par with her past 'butt kicking' roles.

Parenthood had a pretty weak finale....they wrapped up the Haddy/Amber issue storyline which was nice....both of them have impluse issues! They also wrapped up the parent's issues - well they spoke to each other, and thats a start. Other than that, there wasn't a lot happening....but then it was only a 13 ep first season, and maybe they will build to something more interesting next season.

Parks and Recreation had an okay finale....It had Rob Lowe in it which is fun- Doesn't mean I'm not mad at him for leaving B&S though...He's sticking around for a little while I believe. It is always fun to see his funny side come out. But other than that there wasn't tons going on, not that ever is on that show. I know Mark won't be back next season, but I doubt that will have much effect on the quality....I mean it's all about Amy Poehler really!

Cougar Town also had an ok, nothing special finale....but its not really a fantastically special show, so that was to be expected. -Yay for Taye Diggs guest starring next season!

Modern Family's finale was fun, a family photo theme....a perfectly good way to go out....Lets see how things go in season 2!

I think that's all my finales for now....I've got a whole post for Glee (of course). So stay tuned!

TV, TV, Everywhere....and Not a Drop to Drink!

Well I did it. I finished season 5 of Grey's Anatomy. The finale was really hard to watch, knowing that it was George the whole time....it was easier when you only had a little amount of time to get really upset....rather than it growing as the ep went on!
However, now that I've finished season 5, and am back to watching s6....I'm totally confused and lost. I might have to rewatch this seasons eps before the finale, cause Ellen Pompeo hinted that you will need to know what's been happening this season.....and with watching seasons 4 and 5 at the same time as 6....I'm a little jumbled.

Now lets talk Glee! -  Well after a slow, slightly dissapointing first ep back, and then an interesting Madonna episode....which was both fun, yet not quite up to what I want from the show.....ep 3 came along with Kristin Chenoweth singing 3 great songs, and great songs for the others....however a whole ep without a Rachel number was both weird and refreshing. But I think I even liked this Kristin ep better than the first one!
However the 4th ep was not my fave either, I didn't care about Olivia Newton John or Physical one tiny bit. I did like You Can't Touch This....and Emma standing up for herself....but none of the songs really stood out as ones I NEED to download. I mean they finally let Puck sing, and make him share with Finn (and Jesse...who I like less each week sadly).

Brothers and Sisters- I think I can see where they are heading with Robert and Kitty.....I just really don't want him to leave....I think that show is slowly losing the plot. Sometimes it feels like they make up the show each week as they go...without really planning out the arcs. I mean whatever happened to Ryan...he was just a pointless boring character! And I really could care less about Luc....

Parenthood - Still LOVING this show. SO glad to have Lauren on tv every week! And I LOVE that its not just her on that show that keeps me coming back each week. The stories are great. The characters are all great - there is not realy anyone I hate...which is refreshing! The only thing they need to work on, is the editing of the credits. Every ep goes from Cold Open to credits without any proper 'crash' or transition. It feels really out of place. I LOVE that it has credits...I just worry that the editors have forgotton how to transition into them....go back and watch The West Wing, or Dawson's Creek, or Gilmore Girls....they all had it right. The credits should not feel out of place with the rest of the ep, it should blend, keep a tone. Anyways...that's my 2 cents on the credits.

The Good Wife - Well....after Peter stormed out of the apartment, setting off the alarm....I was kinda looking forward to him going to back to jail.....I didn't really care much about what was going on in this weeks ep. I did like Will playing Judge though, that was kinda fun.

P-Rex - SO glad to finally have this show back...1 month was way too long to be away. Although there is only a few eps left, and that mean not long with Mark....however we get Rob Lowe, so I guess that's worth it.

Modern Family - Everyweek I feel a little bad for this show, cause it gets pushed to the back by all my 1 hour dramas, but I really do enjoy this show.

In Plain Sight - Still really enjoying this show....the one problem is that they had Allison Janney on so early, and now no other ep can live up to that! Steve Weber's ep was fun, but last weeks was a token slow ep. I'm sure it will be more fun when Josh Malina comes back....and we figure out what's going on with Brandi.

Private Practice - So glad Violet is finally back!....AND she wants Lucas!

LOST - ok....OMG! I know I had been thinking over the last few eps that they should start killing off the main characters early, cause no one would expect it....and then there was this weeks ep! They SHOT Kate!...which I guess means she won't be around too much longer....she was shot in the chest. Sun and Jin had a very sad exit, and Saiyd had a 'hero' moment - taking the bomb away and being blown up as a result. They also got rid of Lapedis we asssume....but no one really cares about him do they?! So we're left with Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and an injured Kate....oh and Claire and Flocke (faux Locke)....and Desmond...
-I have no idea how this is all gonna turn out, and what it has to do with these alternate world scenes.....but its gonna be AWESOME....and I'm guessing really really sad :(  Must remember tissues for the finale.
-Also ....can't wait for Allison Janney's ep. She's seriously going for TV domination this year!

Now...there was something Ness and I were trying to figure out the other day, recently we were watching a scene of something, where someone had a cup of coffee, emptied it out cause it was hot, filled it with water, and then threw it at someone.....and we haven't been able to place it. To me it sounds like it could have been, Gloria in Modern Family, Mary/Marshall in In Plain Sight, or Charlotte/Cooper in Private Practice. But then it could have also been from a movie....so maybe we'll never know.

Anyways...that's my TV-recap.
