United States of Tara (and other TV)

So while I wasn’t completely crushed that it has been cancelled, I am very sad that there won’t be a 4th season. It has never been my fave show, in fact it has always been way down my list. But I do love the show. This season has been awesome, and I’m starting to get worried about how it will all end. Usually they wrap up the seasons nicely, but who knows what they did this year!

Watching episode 10 from last week, and made me cry! This show really goes to the edge with Tara and her alters and this ep was amazing. When Bryce was destroying Marshall’s room I just wanted to bawl! It was just SO sad. Especially after losing Lionel like that! Poor poor Marshall! He and Kate have really been screwed. I mean its not anyone’s fault, but it is rough. And Bryce is one scary scary dude!
So I guess we’ll see what happens in the last few eps. I imagine things are going to get REAL interesting!

In other tv news, In Plain Sight is also a lot of fun this season. I’m really glad its back! The whole Mary undercover thing in last week’s ep was fun...but really why did she have to be called Donna....like we needed another reason to wish Janel Moloney was working more!

Nurse Jackie has been pretty boring this year I must say. I find myself kinda bored with it. Every now and then something hilarious happens...like O’Hara kissing Dr Cooper. – Those two are probably my fave characters, plus Zoey.

That's pretty much all there is on tv at the moment. Ness and I tried to watch the season 2 premiere of Covert Affairs...but it was really really awful...maybe I'll watch more if I get desperate, but otherwise I think I'll let it go.

Golden Globes 2011 -Awards Recap

I still can't believe they asked Ricky Gervais back again this year. He was just as naughty, and just as entertaining as last year.

Social Network and Glee hogged most of the awards. Yay for Aaron Sorkin, Jane Lynch, and Chris Colfer.
While I was happy that Glee won, I thought that some of the other shows deserved it more. -I thought it was Modern Family's turn or that it would go to The Big C.
-I was so glad to see Chris Colfer win he did a great job this season. Plus he definitely won best acceptance speech. -Too adorable.
-Glee had 2 tables, so they had the biggest cheer squad of any group...or at least the biggest that got to actually cheer!

I was glad Laura Linney won for The Big C, but it sucked that she wasn't there (I'm guessing she was in NY with her play). She always gives good speeches.
-I was just super glad Piper Perabo didn't win for Covert Affairs....I like the show and all, but the others were much more deserving.

While I am not a fan of The Big Bang Theory, I can appreciate it. While I didn't care if it won or not, I find it really really interesting that the show has started being nominated 3 seasons in. I have found that usually shows get nominated in their first and second seasons, and then the nominations start to die off. But for a show to start getting recognition so late in the series run, it gives me hope for some of my other shows that have never gotten the recognition they deserve.

-Kaley Cuoco presenting the award to Jim Parsons was adorable by the way. Its nice to see actors so happy for their co-stars.

In terms of movie awards. I actually hadn't seen many of them this year. In terms of big awards, I'd only seen The Social Network, and The King's Speech.
-I was glad that Colin Firth won for TKS. He was really good in it.
-I thought Love and Other Drugs was good, but not really that great, so I wasn't fussed about that not taking any awards.
-Yay for Toy Story 3. I've loved those toys for years and that 3rd movie was heartbreakingly awesome.

Overall not the most exciting awards. I think I'm just really nostalgic for the good old days when Sex and The City and all those others used to get nominated, and ruled the awards. They seem to be all over the place now, and kinda boring. There were not even that many presenters of quality this year...especially not THAT many from NBC!

Bring on the SAGs.

Not Enought Time!!!

So I raced through season 2 of Las Vegas, and through season 3....but then the day after I finished that I started working full time....so I finally got to start season 4 yesterday, a whole week after the finale of season 3!

Now that I'm up to season 4 I have to watch it on the old original downloaded eps, so the quality is annoying, but better than nothing.

I LOVE season 2....Silver Star is one of my fave eps, and the one where the girls go out to the desert....and the one with Michael Buble in a bubble....
Season 3 was still good, but I was never a fan of the new building....and the stories started going down hill...
I don't remember hardly anything of season 4...so its TONS of fun to watch. I've only watched 2 so far, but should get time for more this week. -However I do recall the quality going downhill....and it was all Danny and Delinda, and as cute as they are....it was always supposed to be Danny and Mary.....
-which brings me to Mary's little tantrum from the premire eps.....she was acting like Danny was cheating on her behind her back and everyone knew....I always liked Mary, but that was crazy in a bad way! By the end of season 4, she had dated someone else, as had Danny...I dunno...I guess I can see her issue with Danny and Delinda never telling her, but other than that - she had no dibs on Danny anymore! (which I think was an actual line....)

anyways...moving on. I'm still in loved with Delinda's wedding dress from season 3! SOOOO pretty!

Oh and in other tv news....I've started watching Damages and am really loving it. Its addictive. I've got a few eps left of season 1 to go. I'm loving Covert Affairs - Piper Perabo and Kari Matchetts new spy drama....not up to Alias standards, but still really fun! Hot In Cleveland is still entertaining. United States of Tara has its ups and downs. And I'm still not sure about Community...I watch it when I don't feel like something else, or something I can do other things while I watch. The Good Guys is stupid and silly, but when watched with Vanessa can be appreciated!

I've also been watching a lot of old SNL, from the last few seasons....I'm enjoying having Amy Poehler there. The ep with Amy Adams was fantastic! And not just cause her and Kristen Wiig sang 'What is this feeling' from Wicked!!!
